*** MORRIGHAN’S POV *** I am not sure what possesses me, but I end up following Alarick into the pack house. Memories come flooding, but none of them is harsh enough to push away the smell of blood that now stained my hands and clothes, nor the guilt I feel as I watch Alarick’s legs almost give in by the time he made it up the flight of stairs and onto the porch. The whole house is bathed in silence. The light is dim and almost unnatural, coming from little motion sensor lights that have been planted around the house. Enough to not allow you to stumble through the darkness, not enough to fully light the house. Every shadow around me looked like a demon of the past. Stalking me, ready to jump out from within the darkness and reach for me, to grab me and drag me back from the hell I escape
