What just happened?! Maybe in some other setting, I might have been thrilled about getting to punch Alarick, but this was insane! I had just assaulted the alpha of the pack!
‘He deserved it! I am tired of him thinking he owns us!’ Aisi barks and I feel a cold shiver rush through my body.
“He does own us! We let him believe whatever it takes to not have him hunt us down and rip our heart out of our chest!” I bark back, fighting back tears of anxiety and panic.
If he was going to come after me, who will take care of Nora? If he will come after me, where will I hide? Where do I go? How can I fight him, knowing there is a whole pack, a whole community, right behind him, ready to avenge him?
