Chapter 36: I did not expect that.

"So this is the Abandoned Mineshaft huh..."

I muttered. What I saw is a big Hole on the side of some Cliff. I look inside it with my Dark Knight Sight. Using my Night Vision, I look around and see nothing.

It's just a Long tunnel inside. And there's a lot of Branches going to the side.

"Well, I'm the Vanguard, I should be the one moving first."

I said. Everyone nodded in agreement. All of us here are the Students from Imperial Knight Academy. We're stronger than most people. So, I don't really doubt their ability to kill. At least to kill monster... I don't think they're ready to kill human just yet.

"Dark Phantom Illusion."

I muttered. I grab a Black Mist that seems to appear out of nowhere and it shock The Girls. Since it's still a lump of mist and yet to Manifest into my Weapon. It's not really that strong yet.

"Lukewarm, I'll accompany you as the Vanguard."

"Sure... Sigred, Erin and Helena. Be ready with your weapon."

I said. They nodded. I sighed really deeply. Rushia summon her White Hope. The moment we enter the Mineshaft. We feel this really sickening feeling attacking us.

My breathing become more and more heavy. Rushia is sweating heavily. This is not a normal Dungeon.

Both of us is the Vanguard. So, We step into the First Branches. And we heard footsteps. We can't risk to peek to the Branches. So, We look at the other branches.

I look at Rushia side while She look at my side. And we see the same thing. A Really small yet so Bulky Creature. With Brown Clothes wrapping around the hips. It has really Long Green nose and Pointy ears. The Creature doesn't have any eyes. But they can detect our presence.

I look at Rushia. We nodded. Rushia use her Holy Attribute to lit up the room because, The Creature is blind.

Rushia wave at the others. They run toward us and then, Helena Step on a rock and kick it. Crap. She just attract the Gremlin.

"BGAAHK!"

That's the Noises the Gremlins Make. They grab some sort of Bone Spear with Brown stuff on the end. That's gross huh... They cover their weapon with their stuff to infect the wound.

Since our Sneak attack has failed, Everyone get serious instantly. No one blame Helena for it because, It's our fault as well to not noticing the Stones.

Without any hesitation. Sigred Jumped forward to Rushia side. She see the Gremlin trying to run her over. With the eyes of a hunter. Sigred just swing her Scythe and Sliced the Neck of the Gremlin. But it's not enough to kill it. Now, Her Scythe is stuck on the Wall.

The Gremlin get closer and try to stab her. Helena appear right in front of her between her and the Gremlin.

She draw her Katana and swing it with force! She cut the Gremlin neck in half. The Gremlin fall down.

"Sigred, How many time have I tell you to not jump in and get your Scythe stuck?"

Helena asked. Sigred look pretty embarrassed after that. We just look at them chuckling. The Gremlin jumped out from my side and with his nose, stab his spear toward me.

"Oops. Not forgetting about you~" 

I muttered. I fall down and Manifest Throwing Knives. I throw it and it goes to the Nose of the Gremlin.

Manifest, Sword. Suddenly, The Throwing Knife on the Nose of the Gremlin Vanished. And then, Dark Phantom Illusion turn into Sword. I cut the Spear into tiny pieces.

I jumped back and then, Erin throw her spear straight into the Gremlin Chest. But it's not enough to kill the Gremlin. And Rushia come in and just Smack the Spear with her White Hope. Impaling the last Gremlin.

We all high five with Rushia being the last one to actually hit our hand. We thought that this is the end of it and we're ready to call it a day. But then, More Gremlin come from the depth of the hell. Looking Much Stronger. And there's something differentiate them with the previous Gremlin. They have working eyes.

I instantly thought that, Blind Gremlin, is not actually born blind. Meaning, They didn't evolve to be blind. They're blind. Because they're weak.

And that's a bad news for us.

"Interesting..."

Rushia muttered. She started to form a complex magic circle. I instantly stop her from doing that.

"Rushia! Stop it! If you use Gungnir at time like this. It will kill us due to lack of Oxygen!"

I said. Rushia realize that and stopped her Gungnir Magic. In time like this. I should be the one sacrificing myself.

"I'll hold things back for a bit. You guys go near the entrance."

I said. Everyone shake their head. Especially Rushia. She smacked my back and said.

"I'm not going to let you die Lukewarm. You're important part of the Academy. Losing you meaning losing important person."

She said. Aw... Thanks Rushia...

"Well then. We don't want to die right? Shall we just run away?"

I asked. Honestly, I could call Diablo and take care of this instantly. But I don't want to end this Dungeon... I want to explore this with them more.

"Yeah. We should Run away."

Rushia said. The Holy Knight have said that. Everyone agreed. Now, It's simple for us to run away.

"Holy Knight First Technique: Light of Mercy."

She shoot out a Light Orb to the Gate. She grab the Girls and Teleported out. While I started bolting down toward the Entrance.

The Girls already safe outside. I'm close at my Range to leap out. But then, A Big Gremlin stopped me on my track.

They swing a really big Bone Club straight to the left side of my head. It hit my head heavily. My skull cracked.

"GUH!"

My head then slam into the wall and the other side is Cracked as well. But, I will persevere.

Seeing the Girls really worried really scared me. I don't want them to come inside and help me. It will mean certain death to them.

And then. I saw a slither of hope. I feel the Gremlin is grabbing my face. I put my hand up. Telling them to don't help me.

This is it. This is something that I've been waiting for. The presence of death.

"Master. Are you alright?"

Diablo and Verna is asking me. I just laughed. I'm fine Diablo, Verna... Trust me. This is the Perfect time to actually do it!

"I see... Kukuku. Good luck Master. We won't come out."

Diablo voice vanished.

I smiled. Everyone saw my Grinned face. My head get slammed. But there's no further Damage was done to my Body.

"Here. Taste my Ultimate Martial Arts."

I grab the Gremlin Wrist and from a small friction I made. It twist the hand. The Gremlin instantly see me as a Threat and back out.

"HAHAHA!!!"

At this point. My mind started to going insane. I look at the Girls with a smile.

"Don't Bother me for now! I want to try how high my Martial Arts is!"

I look at the Gremlin back and Jumped forward to the Crowd of the Gremlin.
