Chapter 31: Medal Ceremony.

After the Burial on 10 AM... We sat down to hear more Speeches by the Official and Family. Throughout the Speeches, We were crying our heart out.

The lost of our 'Family' 'Protector' 'Friends' and 'Comrades' is not easy to take for everyone. No matter how many times people goes through this process. It's not easy.

I cries my heart out when the Family gives their speeches because, It's more heart melting than the other...

There's total of 14 People who lost their lives due to the Traitor attack. 4 Hours passed and now... It's us, The one who protected and win. Who get recognition.

This Medal Ceremony is especially important to all the Students because, It's an Achievement that will live on for eternity. But of course, Not everyone is going to get the Medal.

Only those who work their ass off protecting those around them are worthy of the Highest Medal in the Country.

It was presented by the King Himself. An Old man that look like a Sage climb the platform. He's holding on his staff with his crown and mantle. He have this Long White Hair and Long White beard. But his eyes is still very lively.

He look at the mic and started speaking.

"Everyone... Good Afternoon... I'm Eric van Agnious... The King of Agnious Kingdom..."

A really raspy voice fill the room. All of us stand and clap our hand.

"Now... I'm not going to prolonged my welcoming speech. Let's get to the point shall we?"

He said. Everyone like that attitude of the king.

"Now... For those who's fallen in order to protect their comrades... I give them a massive shout out. They're going to be buried in the Tomb of Heroes. And for the family. Don't be too sad about it. All of us are going to follow them to the afterlife. Heck. Even this old man is going to join them soon enough. But there's one thing that you should keep in mind. Don't stop fighting. Your Son or Daughter who is fallen. Make everyone proud... Now, It's our time to make them proud."

He said. Everyone started sniffing. And then, He clear his throat to change the topic.

"Now. For those who managed to stay alive. Good job for staying alive. In my hand right now. There's surprisingly... A lot of Medal. There's about 6 Medals and all of that medals is going to go to two person."

He said. Oops... I guess this is the time for me to come to the platform. I get ready. I make sure My uniform is nice and neat and Rushia is also doing the same.

"Now... Please welcome. The two brave young students. Drove away all the enemies and move first to protect their classmates. Both of them are First Grade of the S Class in Imperial Knight Academy. They're Rushia von Bellion and Trevor Adrian. Both of you, Come forward."

Both of us stood up from our seat and everyone is clapping their hands. Remember, There's a lot of Higher ups coming to this Ceremony. And this Ceremony is being streamed to the whole Nation. Everyone know our faces and names.

"Rushia von Bellion. For your Bravery to step into the battlefield to stop the Enemies and successfully protect those behind you. For that, I award you Medal of Bravery."

King Eric put one Medal to Rushia uniform. And then, He grab another medal.

"Once again. For your Action. There's no Hesitation of your moves to go to the most dangerous spot in the Battlefield. Not only that, You also stopped the Traitor from moving further to the Containment Zone. For that Action. I award you, Medal of Honor."

Rushia get her second Medal. And then, That's her Turn. Now, The King move toward me.

I get the same two Medal as Rushia. But I still have 2 more Medals to get.

"Now, For the Third Medal. Trevor Adrian. You singlehandedly defeat 4000 Enemy. Killing the Terrorist without any mercy. For that, I award you, Medal of Ace."

Oh? Something really Fancy. He put it on my Uniform and I take all of this with proud of course. Then, He grab the Last Medal.

"For the Last Medal... We actually going to give this both to you... At first, The Ceremony plan for this medal to be given to Only Trevor Adrian. But the more I hear about the story. The more I feel like Rushia von Bellion is worthy to receive this Medal."

After saying that. The Official immediately get one other medal. The same medal.

"This Medal is for the both of you. The Medal of Sacrifice. As you know, Medal of Sacrifice mostly earn by Fallen Soldier. But, I cannot not give them this Medal. Trevor Adrian. Letting All the Imperial Guards and Other Students to run inside. Putting his Life on the line for them. And for Rushia von Bellion. She make a lot of time for the others to escape the building itself from the traitor attack. For that Reason. I award you with the Medal of Sacrifice."

The both of us receive a lot of Medals knowing today is the third day of school. But, Situation like this doesn't really come every year. It's only appear sometime when the time is perfect.

After shaking hand with the King. Both of us walked back down with pride on our Chest. I received 4 Medals while Rushia received 3 Medals. There's no harsh feeling coming from her because she firmly believe that, I did deserve that medal 1000%.

Then, The King move into more serious topic.

"Now... Raiden van Kamiya Betrayal is not something I can tolerate. For his action, The Kamiya Family shall be Executed. Not only that their Son Betray the Kingdom. We have found evidence that Kamiya Family is supporting s*****y and Abusive Behavior."

Oh wow... What a Trash family. They doesn't deserve to live at all... They should die.... Anyway, After the Ceremony. Both Rushia and I walk back together.

It's pretty awkward. This walk I mean. It's the first time Rushia is actually walking beside me. I don't know why she do this.

While we were walking, Some people actually salute at us. I don't know what to do at that point. Neither do Rushia it seems like.

After arriving back at our Dorm, We hang our Uniform and then look at each other.

"Lukewarm. Good Job. I'm proud of you."

She said. I look at her and smiled.

"Thank you Lazy... I'm tired now... Good Night."

"Night night you Lukewarm."

I take off my Clothes and go to bed. While Rushia... Doing her own things.
