“Hey there Em! The party’s really great!” A man just a bit taller than the petite woman approached and hugged her. He was intentionally speaking louder since the music’s volume was high enough that no one would be able to talk normally.
“Thanks, glad you like it! Bri and H organized everything.” Emma said with a smile on her face as she walked through the crowd of people. ‘Thought it was supposed to be a small group of friends… They invited so many people…’ She thought to herself. It’s not that she didn’t enjoy gatherings such as these, she just wasn’t mentally prepared to be around more than fifty people that day.
