All afternoon there has been an ache in my chest. There always is when I know Elsie is out there alone. Anderson is too close to my girl. But today it has been different.
I rubbed my chest for what feels like a thousand time, "Dunc, are you alright? You have gone really pale all of a sudden." I looked to my brother.
"I don't know, I just feel like there is something wrong." Harris squeezed my shoulder, "Dinner at the big house should be finished, and my little sister will soon be home and safe, your bond is getting stronger and every day I see the toll on you both, and it will continue until you mark each other."
I know he is right, but I can't stop the feeling that something is very wrong.
