Chapter 6

"Malcolm" I call him name shyly instead of Mr. Black that it make goosebumps on me for hear his name coming out from my lips.

When Malcolm arrived and take a seat beside me, he also order the same Burger and black coffee from Paula who keep smiling when she deliver his order even though he didn't touch it like I do.

I guess this place is quite famous since he know about this delicious food.

I notice how people take a glance strangely toward him when we start eating our food, I guess it's because how goodly handsome Malcolm is with his simple white shirt and jeans that he looks like a model who wore a suit.

But the man himself keep calm and didn't act like an conceited ass who I know in the city will do when they realize their good looks and how it affect people around them.

I notice how sometimes he look arrogant and cold, but he treat people with politely and have the same rigidity like Tobius.

Sometimes he smile when I making weird noise while eating my food but didn't show any disgust expression and keep staring intensely like I'mm the most interesting person in the world, this is so weird, why he show interest in me?

I don't know what's with those eye but I felt myself suck again from it.

We keep staring at each other before I need to blink and break the spell.

Malcolm smile while I putting down my head to hid my embarrassment for getting cough staring at him.

"Only 17 but I heard you're senior already?" I heard Malcolm spoke and break the silence before roll my eyes when hear his word correctly, I bet it was mother's job to tell everyone about me being invite to the honor class since I'm smart enough to join it, but really? She even told Malcolm? She just meet him!

I sigh dryly "Just invite to the honor class with senior for several subject though, beside I'll be 18 on February, so I'm senior on age" I wave my hand nonchalantly and don't want to brag anything about jumping class.

He nod and gave me an understanding expression "So, what's your plan for future then?" He asked with his amazing smile which I return before I finish my coffee as a respond.

"Hm.. honestly I just love history and want to become a teacher for those subject so I can continue studying" Malcolm look interest with what I said that make me proud of myself and not ashamed for being a nerd.

"History" He mused and I nod confirmed "I bet you'll be one prettiest teacher then" I can't stop blushing for what he said.

Oh God, I'm so embarrassed.

"Thanks" I murmur shyly.

"And how about boyfriend?" Thank God, I finish my coffee and the Burger or I'll choked on them when hear his next question.

Laughing I shook my head "No boyfriend"

"Really?" He look serious when he asked me that.

Is he think that a guy will notice a girl that spend her time more behind the books?

"I'm not pretty enough to grab guys attention" I admit slowly with a small smile.

But Malcolm didn't return my smile instead he lock his eye and keep staring at me strangely.

I clear my throat and lean on the chair to hold the embarrassment he gave every time he lock his eye on me like that. It's like he was looking at my soul and no one ever staring at me the way he does.

It makes me special.

But it also scare me.

"Thank you for the small brain human had then" He speak softly but I can still hear him and raise my brow in confusion with his words.

Huh? Did he say human?

What does he mean by that?

"Um.. " I want to ask him but my mind seems to have another question "May I know how old are you?" s**t, I quickly close my mouth with both of my hands but Malcolm didn't look offended by my question.

Smooth, Lucia. Asking about age?

Do you think he'll legal for you? Or even want you?

SHUT UP, BRAIN!!

"Old" I snap from my mind when hear Malcolm answer amusingly and raise my brow.

"Old?"

He nod and sip his coffee calmingly.

"Old to be my father?" I teased even though thinking about him as a father is not.. ugh.

"How about old enough to be your great great great grandfather?" He replies seriously and it takes me a second to see the amusement from the corner of his eyes.

I sighed "sorry for asking about the age. It's not polite"

I admit which in return he just give me another smile, why he looks so happy with those smile?

He put the 20 pounds in the table before stood up and startled me.

"Let's go"

"Huh?"

Malcolm smile before he gave me his hand to be taken.

"I'll give you the best sightseeing that this town had" He explain and I can't stop the excitement for what his plan and for spending the time more with this handsome, strange man which make my heart beating fast like I just running on the track.

I just meet him, but why I trust him already and act like I know him forever?

I guess no one ever treat me like he does and I like how it felt.

"Oh God"

I gasped when I see the beauty dangerous scene in front of me.

I take a small step but stop when I think it was safe and didn't want to get any closer when I realize where Malcolm take me, the cliff.

"Are you afraid of heights?" He asked and I gulp before nod slowly.

"Not really but thinking about falling down from the cliff is not.." I finish it with shudder and gasped when he grabs my right hand and direct me to start walking with him before we both standing on the cliff with his arms around my waist.

"This is okay?" He asked and I nod slowly, too nervous to answer him from the fear and also from how his hands around me "Don't worry, you'll safe in my arms" He speak easily and put his chin on my head like it's natural for us to do something like that.

Oh God, I can't describe how I feel right now.

I can die in happiness now.

Yeah, keep shutting me, but we both know how fast our heart beating right now.

I release a hard breath and felt him tilt his head a little before I hear his voice "Something wrong?"

What should I say?

You are making me nervous, Malcolm.

Yeah right?

"It's just... so beautiful from here" I was glad for my strong voice and could lied easily.

"Hmm.. You are" He whispers softly and again, confusing me. I didn't know it was his answer since I can't hear him clearly.

We stood there for a while until the cold wind hit us and make me shudder so he decide that was the end of this day and I can hide under the warm bath.

A warm bath is nice but I really like when his arms surround my body.

Lucia, you just meet him yesterday!!

Malcolm drive an old black Bentley unlike Tobius but I know this is also an expensive car.

How rich is he?

So what is he doing with me?

Playing an innocent, naive girl who will think this was her fantasy coming true.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" I jump a little when Malcolm voice, again, snap me from my mind and then I look around to realize that we arrived in front of my grandma's house.

Huh? Tomorrow?

"What do you mean tomorrow?" I asked while buckled out the seat-belt but when I turn my head to the driver seat, he already left to open my door.

Malcolm gave his hand and I grab it when I walk out from his fancy car with red face.

He act like a prince in the books.

Shut up.. shut up, brain.

This is real world, not some scene in the books.

"There are a waterfall inside the forest near my mansion" He said and I taken-aback with it.

What?

Inside the forest?

Waterfall?

"But, how about the rumor about the forest?" I comment and saw him smile in amuse.

"Don't worry, because the ghost itself was the one who taking you" He teased and I laugh before nod my head even though didn't aware of how serious he is with his words.

His families lived in the mansion inside the forest so I guess the story is just an urban legend that people make to scare the kids away.

"Okay then but you have to make sure no werewolves or vampires going to be there and disturbed us" I retorted playfully and surprise when he laughing harder after that.

Is that funny?

"What?!" I exclaim and hit his shoulder playfully "Don't laughed at me"

Malcolm grab my hand and studying it for a second before he raise it to his mouth to give it a simple kiss and make me shock with racing heartbeat.

Calm down heart.

"I'm glad to see you, Lucia" He speak still holding my hand.

I know my face is like a tomato right now hearing him but I can't detect any lies.

Don't be ridiculous, Lucia. Your encounter with different gender in such a romance thing was horrible, how can you detect him?

He looks sincere and serious when he speak.

Off course, it what guy can do best, Lucia, flirting when they want something then leaving after get what they want.

Snap at it!!!

"See you tomorrow, Malcolm" I nod my head and smile.

"I'll pick you at 10, Okay? Bye, Lucia"

He make me confused and angry with myself right now.

He release my hand and take a step back when I open the door before turn my head back to him to wave my hand.

I walk inside the house with a dreaming smile and hear his car engine before he start driving off from the house.

Sighed, I lean on the door and slump down on my knees.

Is that really happen?

Oh God, my heart beating really fast and I know I am blushing hard right now but I can't stop smiling from what I feel right now.

I am happy.

No guys ever take an interest on me before and now there's an amazing man looking at me like I am the only one in front of him.

Is this only my imagination?

But it felt real.

"I don't care" I speak loudly and run to take the warm bath before I catch a cold and ruin our plan for tomorrow.

Every girl deserves a chance even though it will end badly but we are going to make mistakes and live another way to looking at it.

But what Lucia didn't know is that there is no turning back from what she choose with Malcolm because he won't let her go..
