She clapped the lid on the blender and pushed a button to make it roar into life.
When the rattle of ice cubes subsided, Kent said, “Times have changed. Arsenic used to be an ingredient in some popular dyes. Fly paper was saturated with it. They sold it for rat poison.”
Nora shrugged. “I couldn’t find a brick-and-mortar store in Sweet Home that sells it. And online, arsenic was mostly available only in massive quantities with correspondingly high prices. For sale by the metric ton, kilo, and half-kilo.”
