It was as simple as that. “What brings you back here?” Alec asked as Lew stepped into the room, hands in his trouser pockets. “I thought you had work to do?” “Just passing through on my way back to the Examiner. I went up to Camden. I didn’t stay long though. Vicky’s moved him down into the front parlor. I don’t think he’ll be around much longer.” Lew sat in one of the chairs opposite Alec’s desk. “Did he remember anything helpful?” “Not really. I didn’t press him.
