Chapter Twenty One
I didn’t know what to think when Caleb asked me to lend him my body. “W-what? You want to possess me?”
Stella spoke up. “You mean you can do that? Would you share her body or would she lie dormant?”
Caleb hesitated before answering. “Well no, we’d swap, that’s the only thing I can do right now.”
“Why Astrid?” Stella asked. “Why not me?”
Caleb frowned. “It’s a lot to explain and I’m fading. One quick reason is so I can use magic to take down the kidnapper myself when you guys get here. I might be able to free myself as Astrid and fight him in my body but even then mine is damaged.”
“I’ll do it.” I answered. “How is this going to work?”
“We’ll do it in the morning, We’ll chant the spell and that’s all there is to it. You guys can stay in my house for the night.” C
