Catalina’s POV
I’m in my office with Caleb going over my duties and responsibilities that I need to make sure will happen while I’m away.
“So exactly how long will you be gone with Dolus?” Caleb asks.
“Honestly I’m not sure. I’m hoping this will be a quick trip.” I say.
“It will be quick if you can convince Helene to help us.” I hear Dolus’ deep voice answer. He always announces himself verbally before I can see him. I wonder why. And why Kayla comes with a flash of light and he can just appear anywhere. I turn and see him sitting on the arm rest of the chair opposite my desk.
“How do I convince her to help?”
“She not a huge fan of her father, and you are a woman. I’m counting on both of those things to do most of the work. The actual hard part will be finding her.”
