Catalina’s POV “Mate?” I say with shock. This can’t be good. “Yes, Julie came to us after she was kicked out of her own family’s pack. I knew she was my mate right away. She has told me very little. But what she has told me has been and mostly bad and mostly about you and her former mate.” His words are not harsh or accusing, which confuses me. “You don’t seem angry.” I note. He takes a deep breath. And a second to think. I don’t think he expected my response. “I’ve been a rogue most of my life. And as a rogue I deal with all kinds of wolves. They get kicked out of their packs for many different reasons, ranging from justified to severely unjustified. It’s been my experience that when a wolf hides or omits the reason they were kicked out, they normally did something to warrant it.
