Nine years later (2012) Catalina’s POV I have a blanket wrapped around me as I’m sitting on the patio looking out at the stars. I take a sip of my coffee and watch the night sky. I wasn’t able to sleep last night. Finally around 3:45 I gave up, got out of bed, made myself some coffee, and came out here to sit. These past few days have been hard for everyone. I hear the side door open and I turn around to see Jade. Her long auburn hair is tied up in a bun, her long legs poking out of her pajama shorts. She’s only twelve, but she’s growing up so fast.
