Samira’s POV
My heart sank with trepidation. The queen mother didn’t like me, she didn’t tell me exactly, but her reactions toward me confirmed that she didn’t like me. I looked at her, but she ignored me and talked to Danian. I was behind Danian and looking at her above Danian’s shoulder.
“For what, Mom?” Danian asked her.
“That I don’t know, Danian; you should go and see them,” she said, lifting her chin slightly up.
“Dad is coming too, right?” Danian asked casually.
“No, the council only asked you and your….” She paused and shifted her gaze to me. She gave me a disgusting look like I was a piece of s**t. She is correct from her side; she is Danian’s mother. She might think I did witchcraft on him and made him fall for me.
“So-called mate!” she completed her phrase, giving me a
