PROLOGUE
-ROBIN-
My height constantly makes me feel self-conscious. I am 6 feet and three inches tall. It is common for a male wolf-shifter to stand seven feet tall, but as a she-wolf, my stature is immense. Yes, there are others, but not as many as me, who seem like a walking tower, intimidating everyone.
Seriously, I disliked it to the core.
I've wanted to be cute like a regular female since I was a puppy, but dang it! That never happened because I am atypical, not just because I am tall, but also because my mother classified me as a boy when I was born.
Do you think my parents or the pack doctor erred? No way, nohow! They didn't dare to.
My father had always wanted a son to succeed him as Alpha of Spark Galore, so he opted to raise me as a boy despite my wishes. He went to tremendous lengths to hide the truth, my true gender, for the sake of power.
Then they directed me to the eastern part of the region, where our private land was located. The Epsilons who devoted their lives to safeguard me and kept my terrible secret hidden until their last breaths nursed me there. Every day, those faithful hounds severely trained me so that even if they weren't around, I could defend myself against the rogues. That I would be able to survive if I found myself in a tough situation.
EPSILONS.
They are the pack officers, enforcers, and warriors who protect the pack and its leader. They were the ones who stayed by my side when I was lonely because my parents were too focused on ruling our territory. Regardless of how strict they were during training, they had been my closest buddies. I will cherish and be grateful to them for the rest of my life. Even when I decided to abandon my family, their wise advice and precious lessons saved me on countless occasions.
Unfortunately, I would be unable to return to Spark Galore and meet them again because I had been defined as a rogue the moment I left our home, or so I thought until five years later, a month before my seventeenth birthday when my father's faithful warriors paid me a surprise visit. "It's time to go back, Master Robin."
Thus, my wonderful renegade existence came to an end.
