Dave's behavior was not so different from the first moment I met him. For a cheating person, you would expect some distance and perhaps withdrawal from him but Dave was always there. He accompanied me to every doctor's appointment, every baby dress shopping and even took all the tantrums which the pregnancy hormones had gifted me with.
This support was great but the more I thought about it, the more I wondered what his endgame truly was.
I was eight months gone and it had been the most crucial and exhausting months of my life. I had begun to recite a mantra every single day, deriving some sort of peace with it.
With Dave, I made it almost impossible for him to notice anything odd with
me or finally understand that I suspected that something was up with him.
