“You don’t mean that, Calista, do you?” her mother’s eager voice exclaimed over the call. “Emily is finally getting married? I thought she would have been married, seeing how you haven’t been able to reach her.”
“Well, Mama, she’s getting married,” Calista replied, sitting on the edge of the bed, trying hard to focus on the conversation with her mother instead of thinking about Ranya.
The conversation from last night refused to leave her head. No matter how much she tried to stop herself, her heart kept replaying his words.
Could Ranya really want her back? Why? What about Emily? Why is he suddenly being loving?
