Audrey’s POV
I followed the source of the voice and felt a tremor run through me when I saw where it was coming from: Linda’s group. A petite Omega with curly blonde hair was raising her hand and offering me a warm smile.
My first instinct, of course, was to tell her no; she was Linda’s friend after all, and couldn’t be trusted.
But then I saw how Linda’s expression turned into one of seething rage, and how Linda bared her teeth at the girl. A low growl rumbled in Linda’s throat, causing the girl to flinch. Only then did I realize that it had been a genuine offer.
“You…” I paused, shooting Edwin—who looked mostly uninterested at this point—a bemused glance. “You want to join me?”
