"Anything new?" I sighed and flopped down in the silk mattress of my bed.

She blinks twice and forces a smile that looked more like a grimace and I wince at the horrible state my friend is in because of her mate.
After Carter left us in the library he hasn't been making an appearance since then and it's been four days, and Alice is nothing but a miserable woman.
