Chapter 13
“Thank you for inviting Kellan and me back to your house, and thanks for dinner, as well, babe,” Darwin said to Endymion while eyeing the steaming hot, baked whole chicken, along with a large bowl of mashed potatoes, on the table. “You’ve even included carrots, broccoli, long beans, and peas around the chicken. Nice touch.”
Endymion blushed and shrugged at the same time. “Trying to keep the meal as healthy as possible.”
“By serving the chicken with plenty of gravy on the side?” Kellan teased.
Endymion chuckled. “Oh, shut your mouth and eat.”
Kellan grinned before pecking Endymion on the cheek. “I’m just kidding, sweetheart. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. Both of you. Anyway, how was your day?”
Darwin pulled out a chair for Endymion before grabbing another one for himself an
