Chapter 2:Tracking

Ashton couldn’t wait for the school to be out so that they can follow Taylor and his wish was fulfilled.
He and Bryan followed her scent outside the city and into the forest.
Taylor was fast which meant that she was on the bike.
They followed her scent with Bryan behind him telling him repeatedly that this was just a bad idea.
When he was the one who suggested it.
He thought that Ashton would let it go and take his word for it.
Not that after school they would be following the most powerful and dangerous witch to the forest...
What if she uses them as sacrifices?
She scared Bryan more than anything.
When they could finally see her from a distance.
They just hid there but watching and listening to everything she was doing.
She poured some powder, took out clothing from plastic.
He could smell the rogue stench from where he was and so could Bryan.
After she was done.
She started chanting, every time the spell got louder and they heard wolves howl.
The howls belong to rogues and he heard them coming.
There were ten of them and they were fast.
So the spell was to draw them out.
As Ashton was about to blow his cover so he can go and help her Bryan held him back.
“We are here to observe remember.” he said through the mind link.
Soon after that Taylor was surrounded by 10 werewolves.
He then realised something, her heartbeat was beating fast because of the excitement not fear.
“Really so you are going to fight a 17 year old teenager in your wolves form… talk about cowards.” she said with a snicker.
They transformed back to their human form.
She looked the other way as they got dressed.
She seemed so relaxed like she didnt have 10 rouge werewolves waiting to kill her.
I mean he understood why the rouges were calm.
She was ourtnumbered so why was she calm as well?
When they were done she turned around, “now can we dance.”
She said while talking out two wooden sticks from the bag she was carrying.
To say that he was excited to see what she was going to do it was an understatement.
He watched as they ran towards her with anger and determination.
But she dodged their attacks like they were moving in slow motion.
Werewolves are fast beings by nature and witches are not.
But it was like she was faster than them.
They couldn’t even get one hit right while she was having all the fun beating the crap out of them.
To her it was like she was dancing, her movements were perfect and she was flexible and balanced.
5 minutes later they were all sweaty and breathing heavily but she wasn’t even breaking a sweat.
“That was fun but the one I wanted was not here so let me end you now.” she said.
He watched as she ripped their hearts out like it was nothing.
One of them touched her t-shirt with his bloody hands and she ripped out his head.
“That was for staining my favourite t-shirt.” she said and looked at her work.
All those rogues were dead, and she didn’t look like someone who just fought 10 strong rogues...
Ashton turned around and looked at his friend Bryan who was scared to death.
He could feel his heart beating fast.
“You saw that now lets get the hell out of here.” he said mind linking Ashton.
As they were about to leave a dagger flew next to Bryan and it only touched his ear to leave a little wound.
“The next one goes into the skull, what did I tell you Ashton Knight?" she said.
She then started walking and then stood in front of them with her hands on her hips.
Ashton didn’t know what to say
Her Blue eyes captivated him and he was lost in her gaze.
But he snapped out of it when Bryan literally screamed at him through the mind link.
“I want to ask you out on a date and if you say yes then I will stop following you.” he said with a smirk.
But she looked at him and gave him a smirk of her own.
“Fine, but since you have your conditions I have mine.” she said while walking.
They were forced to walk behind her because she was fast.
“What is your condition?" he asked.
Bryan looked at his friend surprised that he still wanted to go out with her after seeing what she is capable of.
“There is a rogue who killed one of my coven members.
I have been looking for him but he is no where to be found, here is his clothe you can use it to track him by scent... bring me his heart to me on a silver platter and you might as well have my hand in marriage.” she said wearing her helmet and leaving them standing there.
“We are not going after a dangerous rogue all on our own.” said Bryan while heading in the direction of their car.
“You are right we are not but I am... I am doing this with or without you and I was hoping it would be with,” he said, and Bryan turned around with a scowl.
“I hate you for this,” he said as they started following the scent.
They spent half the night tracking the rogue and when they finally found him.
They wished that they didnt, the rogue had other friends who were eager to kill the son and Prince of the man who banished them.
Yes, Ashton and Bryan were still young.
But they were strong, fast, and powerful, with their powers and skills combined they make one killer Taylor.
By the time they had killed all the rogues it was around 3 am and they were tired.
wWhen Ashton got home, he couldn’t even sleep because of the adrenaline.
And well his body was in pain from all the blows he received but he had the heart.
Since he didn’t even sleep, he sent the heart to her early in the morning and that too on a silver platter...
When Taylor and her family were having breakfast one of the workers came with a platter and put it next to her.
“This came for you just now Ms Taylor,” she said leaving.
Her father and brother who are her only family looked at her both interested in knowing what it was.
When she opened it.
She laughed so hard they have never seen her laugh like that ever since her mother died.
He really sent the heart on a silver platter.
She didnt mean it literally but it seems like he took it that way.
She moment she got to school she went to look for him and found both of them sleeping in an empty classroom.
“Ashton wake up, you need to pick a place for our date tonight,” she said before kissing his cheeks and making his heart jump out of his chest…
