Chapter 12: Nothing breaks like a heart

1356 Words

The 30 minutes ride home felt like 3 minutes to Ashton. He wanted to hold Taylor for a few minutes longer or maybe for the rest of his life. She was sound asleep by the time they got to the pack house. “She can sleep in the guest room that’s on our floor, the last thing we want is to wake up other people,” said Bryan as he was parking the car. Ashton got out with Taylor in his arms. They all went with him as he took Taylor to the guest room and he slowly laid her on the bed. And they all went downstairs to get some snacks before sleeping. “I have never seen Taylor like that. So vulnerable and broken,” said Charles obviously shocked. “She looked heartbroken if you ask me, probably a bad breakup,” said Ann. Ashton’s mind was somewhere else, but he heard everything they were saying.
