chapter one...... what is going on....... The night was foggy as i drove home from work,i noticed i needed gas so i stopped off at a local gas station to fuel up,an hey why not pick up some snacks to watch with my favorite tv show, man i cant get enough of it anyway as i picked up the snacks an walked to the counter, i noticed the cashier was looking puzzled what has him so distracted? the cashier turns to me an says looks like its going to be a long night the world has gone crazy, not knowing what he meant by that i just smiled and asked what do you mean? he calmly said i guess they f****d around and know they are about to find out, who did i asked ? the cashier replied im not sure but the news says we are on the brink of war. confused i handed the cashier my money, the cashier handed me my change an said have a good night an stay safe as i walked out the door, i heard a roar over head fighter jets flew by faster then i have ever seen, flying low but in formation what the heck i thought you don't see that every night, well i cant miss my show. at that moment about 6 helicopters also flew by what the f**k is going on i thought ? a convoy of military vehicles drove past a few stopping at the gas station to get gas as a soldier steps out of his truck walks over to me an says the gas station is now closed please make your way home and follow further instructions. i asked the soldier what is happening? the soldier said again sir like i said go home and wait for further details that's all i can tell you at this time. i said well thanks for nothing got in my car an headed home, i couldn't stop thinking about what was happening? what could it be ? well guess i will just head home an watch my show intel the government tell us what's going on. As i pulled into my drive way i could see people are not to happy about what's going on tonight, cars being packed with belongings as if they are moving away,well that just seems a little much if it were truly something to be worried about the government would have told us about it, thinking back wow maybe it's more serous then i thought,i shouted to my friend across the street hey what's going on ? he looked at me confused an said my guess world war 3 then just got in his car and drove away. Thinking to my self i don't believe its that bad as i walked into my house i had to tell myself everything is just fine,just go watch your show an relax as always i didn't make it halfway through and fell asleep. Not to long after i fell asleep the sound of air raid sirens woke me up, the tv had breaking news the head line read breaking russia,iran,north Korea, china, Cuba Mexico Middle east militants area attacking Hawaii & California Hawaii has fallen parts of California are now occupied i jumped up what the f**k, we are under attack at that moment the power went out and an explosion lit up the night sky, i dropped to the floor thinking it was all over, as i did the windows in my house broke from the shock wave,with my ears ringing like a bell i crawled to my basement door it was dark and i couldn't see, i triedto get up an ended up tripping an falling down the stairs i hit my head on the concrete floor and fell unconscious. I woke to the sound of gun fire an screams of terror i tried to stand but ended up falling again not only did i hit my head but my ankle appeared to be broken,great just my luck i thought,it was still early morning the sun was just coming up i had to find out more i slowly climbed the stairs holding on to the railing as not to fall again,i got to my kitchen an tried to get a glass of water but nothing came out at that moment i realized i wasn't alone, i slowly turned around there was a figure standing in the doorway red eye's glowing like embers in the dark just stairing at me i turned to run dropping my glass on the floor an at that moment i realized my ankle was still injured falling to the floor the creature jumped towards me grabbed ahold of me i struggled to get free but it was to late fangs pierced my neck i could feel warm blood flowing down my neck my life being taken from me is this it?is this how i die ?then an explosion blew a hole in the side of my house light an smoke filled the room at that moment the creature let out a scream of pain as the sunlight hit his pale skin, is that a vampire i thought wow they are real,the next thing i know is a woman in all black standing over me, with two soldiers one who said he's bit kill him, the woman replied no lets take him in before he turns, we have to study these creatures more we haven't had a test subject with bite marks this fresh in a very long time. another soldier asks what do we do with the already turned Vampire the woman said kill it,we have what we need,as they blew the scorched vampires head off then picked me up put a dog muzzle over my mouth tied me up an put a bag over my head at that point i passed out from blood loss.... I started to regain consciousness on the way to were ever we where going one of the soldiers noticed that i was awake he begin to check if i was still chained up an asked how am i feeling. i replied hungry im so hungry the soldier was silent for a while but i could hear he was talking to a woman the same woman that kinda saved my life about how they couldn't make it to where we was going, do to enemy combatants my guess is she was some kind of scientist,the vehicle suddenly came to a stop i could hear rustling around the bag was taken off of my head an the woman was standing there with a syringe she said im sorry we are out of time an injected me with something, i began to feel dizzy angry my vision went red my hunger grew,i wanted blood and flesh i could smell it even taste it in the air,but the only problem was it wasn't the flesh an blood of humans i craved it was a taste for what attacked me vampires, i crave the flesh of the dead they backed away an opend the back doors i could see a man tied up was this a test ? they un chained me i was free i took off the dog muzzle an walked out into the sun light standing in front of the man he looked terrified,just realizing now that i could have just died walking into the. sun i jumped back into the van instinctively but if the sun was going to kill me wouldn't have i slowly put my hand out in the sun nothing happened the look of amazement from the scientist was a look of accomplishment she said he's your dinner,i turned around an said im hungry but that's not what i want to eat.
