Two nights later Andy shows up at the apartment I share with Rook. The police officer is on duty, which leaves me plenty of time alone with the bartender. I answer the door fresh out of the shower. A cotton towel is snugly wrapped around my waist. I’m still dripping wet, smell Irish Spring fresh, and my n*****s are uber-erect. Once I open the apartment’s door, I smile and say to Andy, “You came back.” He carries a leather box in his right hand, grins from ear to ear, steps around me, and enters the apartment. In doing so, he says, “I have a treat for us.” “What kind of treat? Is it in the box?” He moves up to the bar area in the small kitchen, opens the leather box, and says, “Patience, my friend.
