Shabd was on a business trip and hadn't contacted Kriti since he left. Kriti couldn't understand why he had been acting strangely lately. Lost in her thoughts about Shabd, she sat on the couch. A whole day and night had passed, and she sighed, preparing to head to the room. Just then, her phone rang, and as expected, it was her husband. A bright smile appeared on her face as she quickly answered the call.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"Nothing much. I was just watching a drama," she replied, slightly mistaken.
"Don't you want to ask why I didn't come back home last night?" he questioned.
"I don't feel the need to ask anything. If you didn't come back home, there must be a reason behind it, just like there must be a reason for not informing me about the trip," Kriti responded calmly.
