  Kade slammed the door shut and I jumped from the loud noise. My eyes immediately went to our bed and the wall behind it, suddenly noticing how empty it looked without a picture hanging there. The navy blue color and the white doors weren't anywhere near as inviting as the red and gold upstairs. The oakwood floors were covered up with a carpet whereas the bedroom upstairs had only two little carpets on either side of the bed.
