When Priya and Whitley return to the White House, she notices the staff looking at her weirdly. She and Whitley are wondering if anything has happened. Priya knows her mate hasn’t been harmed because she hasn’t felt any pain. She knows he’s angry about something but doesn’t know what it is. She assumed that it had something to do with work.
“Oh, s**t,” Whitley mumbles, looking at Priya. She's communicating with Damian through their mate link.
“What’s wrong?” Priya stops walking and looks at her.
Whitley is looking at Damian walking toward them. “Something that you’re not going to be happy about. Nope, not one damn bit.”
She’s repeatedly shaking her head. “Nope, not at all.”
Priya narrowed her eyes, looking at Whitley.
Damian kisses Whitley's forehead then he looks at Priya
