Chapter 14

1258 Words

After eating, it takes a long time for me to get some rest, but I finally allow myself to fall asleep as there is nothing else to do in a dungeon cell. I don’t have anyone to talk to other than myself and I’m out of talking points. I spend as much time trying to take my mind off the sleazy guard and eventually, sleep took over. I wake up, still not knowing what time of the day it is. I look around for any indication of the time and after searching, I get nothing. As I’m sitting on the floor, I finally hear something. I get up and walk over to the bars. Listening closely, I hear birds chirping. I didn’t hear that when I woke up last time. It must be morning. For some reason, I get excited by the revelation, but then it fades, remembering what the guard said. Logan is leaving for business.
