He brushed my hair behind my ear. “I was yours the moment I knew of your existence.” He leaned me back until I was laying against the soft blanket. Corvus was leaning over me and his finger tips brushing my lips making them part. His face was so close to mine, the light reflecting the blue of his eyes through the eyeholes of his mask.
“Are you sure you want this?” He asked me softly.
I wasn’t sure I wanted his devotion, but I needed to feel safe with intimacy again. I needed to begin to trust again. “Just a kiss…” I whispered in reply.
“One kiss,” he nodded. I watched as his face leaned in, his black hair slipping out of place tickling my skin as he parted his mouth softly and brushed his lips against mine.
Don’t think… Don’t think… I repeated in my head. Just feel it, please body just enjoy it. I begged myself. Lose yourself in this moment. Trust him to not hurt you. I closed my eyes and parted my lips a bit more trying to be brave. Corvus gently slipped his tongue into my mouth. His taste filled me as he rubbed his tongue against mine. He tasted of a negroni sbagliato, it was such a rich sweet taste. I wondered for a moment if he had drunk one before we came here. He caressed my neck with the tips of his fingers, having them trail down my sides to my waist.
I timidly wrapped my arms around his neck, he pulled away to look at me ever so slightly to look at my face. I was breathing heavy; we said just one. Corvus wanted to make this my decision, he would not cross a boundary unless I wanted more. I tugged him back down and our lips crashed together.
He opened his mouth and I slipped my tongue in. I let out a little moan, and he growled lowly shifting us so I was straddling him. We were in a seated position as his hands kneaded my back, my scars burning in pleasure under his touch. He pulled from the kiss and began to kiss down my jaw to my neck. I leaned my head over to the side as he sucked on my skin. I could feel his teeth brushing against me before stopping and leaning back to look at me. Corvus yanked his coat off tossing it beside us as he smirked.
His hands traced up to the nap of my neck, he kept his face focused on me as he carefully unsnapped the piece of fabric that clung to my neck, letting the dress fall just around my waist. In that moment I knew he would immediately stop if I asked him too, but I didn’t want that.
“How did the gods make you so ethereal?” He groaned, his fingers trailing up my sternum. His cool fingers gliding across the skin of my breast giving me goosebumps. It felt weird to be praised, to be told I am attractive.
“You’ve already seen me naked, isn’t what you said a bit much?” I chuckled softly, wanting to play it cool.
“Yes, but not like this,” he smirked and kissed my collar bone. Corvus let his hands pull me closer to him, our bodies flushed against one and other. His tongue trailed along my shoulder. “You are magnificent,” he whispered against my skin.
Leo’s caws made us pause and I let out a low chuckle. Corvus immediately covered me in his jacket holding me against his chest before sighing, “I’m sorry.”
Leo cawed again impatiently. “Damn, we need to pause this I’m afraid,” he sighed and kissed my forehead. Leo kept cawing loudly. “Yes, I heard. We’re going!” Corvus swooped me up and into his arms before he snapped and we were in the office I had seen in my dream.
“Wait you can teleport? Why did we fly earlier?” I asked confused.
“I have set waypoint destinations that take no preparations to get to, like my office and home. But destination like the shore line that I don’t visit often I do not have the waypoint so I must fly or drive,” Corvus explained, before fixing my dress and hair. “I’m sorry, but I need to speak with a few people I will be right back.”
I nodded and watched him walk out. I sighed softly and looked around curiously, it seemed the same as my dream books still everywhere, but his desk was meticulous. I could hear hushed conversations from behind the door. I walked over to it reached for the handle wanting to see, but not knowing if that was allowed.
A high pitch voice screamed, “Corvus!”
I felt an ache in my chest, it seemed weird that another person was allowed to call him by his name. I kneeled down and looked through the key hole and saw a beautiful woman jump and try to hug Corvus, but he swiftly moved away from her. It was as if he were disgusted by even the thought of being touched by her.
Leo hopped onto Corvus’s shoulder and cawed. An orb lite up on his desk revealing a videolike feed of what was going on outside those doors.
“Just so there is no misunderstanding, I will not accept this type of behavior Alana,” he stated sternly. “I do not wish to be touched like that again.”
“Don’t be so uptight your majesty, you and Alana have been friends and lovers for centuries,” chuckled an older looking man, he looked like the monopoly man with horns. Overly stout and pasty looking.
Lovers… I shouldn’t be surprised or hurt by that. Was I being used as the other woman?... No that can’t be right. I shouldn’t think that he would do that. No, I am working on trust. I have to trust him to not make me feel like a fool.
“Do not make me be cruel Amon,” Corvus growled lowly. “I’ve have been plenty kind to people who are trying to stick their nose where it shouldn’t be today.”
“It is true. You cannot lie about that,” he touted back, as his daughter stood there trying to grab on to Corvus’s hand. “Just marry her and you can have the Nobless on your side again. Beside you never ended the engagement with my precious Alana, so let me ask you this. Would that little human you have hiding away be happy to know she is only your; as the human say side piece?”
