Xavier “I can’t believe you’re really going,” Angel whines. Brayden is loading the car with my belongings while I say goodbye. He never got to speak with Angel because she refused. I saw the hurt in my mate’s eyes, but he gave me a fake smile and said he understood why she didn’t want to see him. Brayden wasn’t expecting things to be easy with his sister, but he won’t give up trying. He’s not hoping she will forgive him for everything he put her through. But Brayden will never stop apologizing or telling Angel he loves her until she believes him. I understand why it’s so hard for Angel to trust anything Brayden says. I don’t know all that Brayden did to Angel; I’m sure there is much she hasn’t spoken about. But I know enough that I would avoid him like the plague if he were my brother.
