Brayden wasn’t in bed when I woke up this morning. I didn’t think negatively because, as Alpha, his duties will often take him away from me.
After what we did last night, I needed to sleep. Goddess, I never knew being with Brayden could feel so good! But it did, and we marked each other. I know it was quick, and I should have made him wait after the way he left me. But I understood why he did. Brayden needed to fix himself before he could give his all to me.
I’m not saying everything will be perfect, but it’s already damn near close. I’m not just Brayden’s equal; I am his other half, as he told me. That meant the world to me, and I’m looking forward to my life with my mate.
