Family Reunion

Nathaniel’s POV I opened the refrigerator and grabbed the leftovers from the other night. I thoroughly enjoyed cooking, a passion I usually indulged in. However, recently, my focus has been dedicated to the strenuous work of getting Project Guardian up and running safely, leaving me with little time for culinary adventures. The container felt cold in my hands, a stark contrast to the scorching intensity of my work. I briefly considered reheating the meal, but my attention was drawn back to the intricacies of Project Guardian. My desire to find Demetri pushed me forward, urging me to spend every waking moment on this project. I took a bite of the cold leftover lasagna, barely registering its taste as I ruminated over the possibilities this powerful device could offer. It was a constant reminder of my relentless pursuit to locate my long-lost brother, who had vanished into the darkness of another realm. For now, nourishment was secondary, a mere formality in my quest to unlock the mysteries of the multiverse. As I chewed thoughtfully, I wondered how close we were to unveiling Project Guardian's full potential and whether it would finally lead me to Demetri. I was at home, preparing to retire for the night, when the doorbell abruptly rang. The unexpected sound brought me out of my zone and I quickly made my way to the front door. “Hold your horse,I’m coming,” I said, a little annoyed. To my astonishment, I found Alpha Richard standing there. "How did you get my address?" I inquired, genuinely puzzled. I know he was alpha and he had excess to a lot, but as a Tech Billionaire I prided myself on having the best security measures when it came to my privacy. Alpha Richard smiled with a hint of pride in his eyes. "Well, pup, it wasn't too hard to find. For an alpha like me. I have my ways, I just wanted to have a talk with you. Mind if I come in?" I hesitated for a moment, debating whether I should let him in. But my curiosity got the best of me, and I stepped aside, allowing Alpha Richard to enter. As he stepped into my living room, he looked around. "Nice place you've got here." I closed the door and joined him in the living room. "Thank you. So, what brings you here?" "Nathaniel. I'd like to talk to you about the possibility of you being my son," Alpha Richard said, making my wolf whimper at the mention of 'son.' I raised an eyebrow, maintaining a nonchalant demeanor. "Alright, you have 20 minutes to convince me," I replied, looking at him with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. But I knew at this point that I was his son, I could smell it, that we were blood related. I leaned against the doorframe, folding my arms, and gazed at Alpha Richard. "Alright, Alpha Richard, I'll hear you out. But first, who is my mother, and how did I end up at Blue Moon? Do you have any answers?" I inquired, my tone carrying a hint of vulnerability and longing to unravel the mysteries of my past. Alpha Richard's words left me even more bewildered. "You don't have any information about my mother or how I ended up at Blue Moon?" I asked, feeling a mix of disappointment and frustration. He continued, "All I know is that I feel a strong connection with you, and my wolf insists that you are family, that you are my son. Apart from the fact that I could also smell it in your blood. If you're willing, we can consult a seer to get some answers." I contemplated the offer. It was a perplexing situation, and part of me yearned for answers about my past. "A seer, huh? Well, I've never been one to back away from the truth. Let's go see this seer," I decided, a spark of curiosity igniting within me. "Right now," he affirmed. "Yes, right now. There's no time like the present," I replied, grabbing my coat and shoes before heading towards the door. I turned to Alpha Richard and asked, "Are you coming, Alpha Richard?" “Right behind you son,”he said and walked to the front door. “We can take my car.” He insisted and we walked to the elevator and out to his car a black suv and got in. We say nothing on the ride there as I do not know what to say to him. Soon we arrived at the seer's house. The seer, an elderly woman with long, gray hair and wise, deep-set eyes. She lived in a quaint cottage nestled just outside the city in the woods. Her name was Madame Elara, and her reputation for her supernatural insight was well-known among the werewolf community. Madame Elara welcomed us into her cozy home, which was adorned with mystical symbols and various artifacts. We settled into her living room, and I took a deep breath, bracing myself for what we were about to uncover. "Madame Elara," I began, "We seek answers about my past.” I said to her. “We believe that he might be my son, and we need to know the truth." Richard added. “Please have a seat,” she said as she nodded and closed her eyes, entering a trance-like state. After a few moments, she spoke in a mysterious, ethereal tone, "I see a woman, Stephanie Alastair, your mother, Nathaniel. She was a concubine in your father's pack. She left the pack because she was pregnant and feared for your life, as the current Luna was not sympathetic to your existence." Alpha Richard looked shocked and distressed, absorbing this revelation about his past. “Leave this pack, Stephanie and don't come back, if you do I will kill you,” Madame Elara mimics the words of Richards, fated mate still connected to the trance. Madame Elara continued, "She gave birth to you in secrecy and left you with the Blue Moon pack to ensure your safety. She wanted to protect you from those who might consider you a threat due to their bloodline." Alpha Richard whispered softly, "Stephanie, I never knew she left like that." The seer gazed at me and said, "It seems the bond between you two is strong and the truth is undeniable. Nathaniel Alastair is indeed your son, Alpha Richard." Tears welled up in my eyes as I realized the significance of this revelation. “I was an alpha’s son and a future alpha.” The bond I shared with my father and the knowledge of my mother begs to overwhelm me. “This is to much,” I said softly "Thank you, Madame Elara," I said with gratitude. "This means a lot." Richard said Madame Elara nodded and with a kind smile replied, "The truth is a powerful force, and it can heal wounds and bring families together. May it serve you well, Nathaniel Alastair and Richard Grant." We walked back to the car in silence, the weight of the revelations from Madame Elara's cottage hanging heavy in the air. As we sat in the car, my Richard turned to me with a mixture of relief and uncertainty in his eyes. "Where do we go from here?" he asked in almost a whisper. “I would love to see you again son,” He said and I almost flinched at the word. I knew this was a critical juncture in both our lives. Discovering that I was his son had brought a rush of emotions, but it also meant that our paths were irrevocably intertwined. "We take it one step at a time," I replied, gripping the steering wheel. Alpha Richard's POV The revelation left my mind in complete disarray. I had lost one son and now gained another. Nathaniel was, without a doubt, my son. Now looking at his features I realized that they mirrored mine, from the eyes to the nose, and the hair. It was uncanny how much he resembled me when I was younger. How had I missed this? Nathaniel Alistair was the son of Stephanie Alistair, the one woman that stole my heart before I found my mate and now he was my son as well. Nathaniel Grant, the son of Richard Grant, was destined to be the future alpha of the Red Dawn pack. It was a lot to take in, and the weight of the truth pressed upon me as I contemplated the complex journey ahead, one that would redefine our lives and unite our destinies. I must admit, at the age of 28, he appeared to be a somewhat melancholic figure. He was already the CEO of his own company, a billionaire bachelor of immense wealth, a person of exceptional intellect, and the visionary behind Project Guardian, which he had both created and founded. He had all the qualities of a promising alpha, and perhaps, he might be open to the idea of using Project Guardian to locate his dead brother, Noel. With the hope that Project Guardian could possibly resurrect the dead, I contemplated how to discuss this matter with Nathaniel now that I knew we were related by blood. I decided to approach it differently and asked him for a favor. Rather than jumping straight to requesting the use of Project Guardian to find Noel soul and bring him back. "Would it be okay if wespend more time getting to know each other?" I asked as I braced myself for the answer.
