Later that night, Amber brought a tray of food for Lucy and Lucy invited her to sit with her for a while. Amber sat in one of the chairs and they chatted amicably for a while. Finally though, Amber could contain herself no more. She looked Lucy in the eyes and asked her if she’d been responsible for the vase breaking. Lucy said she wasn’t, but she could tell that Amber did not know who was telling the truth. She knew that Lucy was more trustworthy than Vivian, but Vivian had Jenny as a witness.
