As the meal came to its conclusion, Donald turned to Steven and asked him how the investigation was going. He was allowing Jenny to move into Steven’s room and he had already made up his mind to trust the DNA test, but the investigation still interested him. There were still a lot of unanswered questions. Chief among them was, ‘Why was Elizabeth lying?’ Steven frowned. “I’m still working on it,” he said, “but I have nothing new to report.” After dinner, Steven made a few phone calls to his private investigators. Jenny was almost three months on in her pregnancy and he was under a lot of pressure to provide everyone with more evidence before she went into her second trimester.
