Ophelia carefully set down the mug of steaming hot black coffee on the table in front of Fidel. He thanked her, and placed his palms on both sides of the mug, his eyes watching her with a mixture of interest and mild curiosity. Ophelia shuffled back to her seat, and grabbed the novel she had been pretending to read for the past few minutes to avoid any conversation before he asked for coffee.
