The twenty minutes' drive took almost forty minutes in Andrea's rusty old van. Ophelia had insisted they take her car, but Andrea had insisted with more vigor that she wanted to drive hers and not wanting to seem rude, Ophelia gave in. Finally, they arrived at the park, and filtered out of the car. The huge signboard that once held bright colors and lights now faded into a dull retro color. The bright red had turned dusty scarlet, the bright blue to dirty indigo and the yellow to a washed-out pale yellow that looked like soda vomit. The letter 'A' in the PARK hung from its hinges, swaying slightly in the wind. The other letters that spelled out 'WESTWEND PARK' dully stuck obediently in their place.
