The blows that Jeriko had been receiving nearly snapped his neck, but he stood his ground nonetheless.
“You’re as useless as your sister!” Kane snapped while looked at the slightly bruised and sore hand that he had used to strike Abigail’s son.
He turned around and looked at the unconscious body that lay there in a torturous comatose state, his hope dwindling into desperation.
“Why aren’t you awake? Why isn’t this working?” He asked. In a low utterance.
Turning his back on Jeriko was not the smartest move but he did so anyway as he watched his master’s body lie dormant.
Jeriko, enraged, stood and started to attack Kane when a guard interceded him. This guard didn’t stop Jeriko, however. He only served as a warning that Jeriko was coming after Kane.
