Disagreement Between Two Powers

He laid there in his bed, shirtless with his black fitted levis on, his pale skin against his silk deep burgundy colored sheets. His arms rested behind his head full of platinum blonde hair as he thought about her; her deeply colored hair, long, silky soft in its loose curls. Her scent…..was had became something of a high to him like an aphrodisiac of sorts. “Tsubaki blossom.” He muttered to himself as he finally found a name for what she smelled like. It was so intoxicating that even at that moment he found a smile upon his face at the mere thought of it.     Her eyes, so deep in their color that he got lost in them every single time he came face to face with her. He'd never laid a kiss on her but just by looking at her lips he could tell how soft they'd be; he likened the idea to that of the petals of the blossom that he compared her scent to; her lips were pout against her rich caramel brown skin. Exotic was she in her shapely glory. He smiled as he realized that even the Goddess knew that he had a type.     All of these things were the reason behind why he tried to avoid her at every cost. What made it so hard to do so was the fact that she had been staying at Blood Haven for the last few days. Not because she wanted to, though. No, she had been adamant about finding her brother.              Both he and his father had to convince her to stay a little longer so that they could figure out a plan instead of going in blind. Though, he could barely admit to himself let alone aloud that he didn’t want her to leave. In her doing so, it showed his weakness in not having the stomach to allow her to go it without him.     Strange, that even though they hadn't parted lips to speak to one another since that night, that he felt so attached, protective, and even….possessive of her. Even now, at that moment, he was aching to see her, but he just wouldn’t allow himself to do so. He needed to convince himself that Aurora Vale did not mean anything to him.     It was around noon when Godfrey decided to push away from his mountain of thoughts and leave his room. He was becoming hungry anyway and his human was nowhere to be found. Once again, he had to go looking for her.     It was when he was heading down the stairs that he bumped into someone coming out of the room that was just at the head of the stair.     Easily aggravated, Godfrey started to bristle up and tell him to watch where he was going when he caught a whiff of her scent. Almost immediately, his breath caught up in his throat and his heat began to rise within his chest. Aurora.     “You….look different.” He said, without thinking his hand reached up to touch the silver strand that fell across her face.     “I...feel different.” She murmured, almost seeming lost. “I’ve been feeling this way since...since coming back.” She confessed, her eyes at the floor as it seemed she was thinking. When she finally turned her gaze back up to Godfrey, she spoke again. “When I feel different….I change my appearance in some way.”     Aurora cut her hair significantly shorter. It was a long side fringe bob, one side significantly longer than the other, where it stopped a little past her shoulder blade. It was loosely curled, that silver birthmarked hair falling over one of her beautiful amethyst-colored eyes.      “And you had to cut your hair.” He said in a near accusatory manner. “Just like every other female.”      “So, you don’t like it.” She stepped toward him, a smirk on her face.     Of course, he did. He wouldn’t tell her that. “I’ve seen better.” He, instead, decided to say.     Aurora nodded. “Good thing I didn’t do it for you.” She replied, her small smile starting to disappear. “Now, have you found a way for me to find my brother or not.”     Godfrey shrugged. “I’ll have to meet with my dad about-”     “It’s been three days, Godfrey-”     “Three days?!” Godfrey incredulously said. “Three days is hardly any time to find anyone, Aurora, let alone even a plan! You expect anything to happen within three days?!”      She was so frustrated with this conversation, she couldn’t even look into his eyes. “He is my brother-my niece is sick with worry and you expect me to stay here?” She scoffed and rolled her eyes. “You probably don’t even care what happens to him. I don’t know why I actually believed that you would help.” She muttered and tried walking away.     Godfrey grabbed her arm and snatched her so effortlessly toward him, that it surprised her. “I would never lie to you.” He said before he could even stop himself. “I am a vampire of my word, Aurora but you are three days from being resurrected from death and now you’re trying to run blind into a situation that you know nothing about! You don’t even know how you came back and what the repercussions are and-”     “I don’t care, Godfr-Godfrey, I don’t!” She snapped, tears falling from her eyes. “I-he’s my brother! And he’s in danger! I need him.”     Godfrey forced her into his arms and held her. He could feel her heart beating against his chest. “Calm down, Rori.” He said. “Look, we will find your brother and you’re right, I don’t like him but I will not allow my feelings for him to interfere with your needs,” Godfrey reassured her. “That is aside from the fact that you also need to keep in mind that Bellarossa is still out there. She’s gotten to you once. We don’t need to be unprepared again.” He said. “I swear to you. I will not let you do this alone.” When he felt her body loosen its tension and her heart rate slow, the relief flooded him as well. He didn’t want to let her go though. Not just yet.     “Why?” He heard her whisper to him. She pulled away but not far enough to be out of his grasp. “Why do you even care?” She asked.     This question caught Godfrey off guard. Why did he care so much? Why was she such a soft spot for him? Maybe…..maybe it was because she reminded him so much of Kaz. Yeah, that’s it, maybe he was just trying to get over…..     “Godfrey?”      When he looked up and saw the person who called to him, his heart dropped, eyes widened, and he was suddenly taken aback. His arms dropped away from Aurora when he saw her standing there, alive and…..well, alive!     He felt Aurora pull away from him and this bothered him but the idea of what he was looking at confused him on what was more important. The only thing that he could find himself doing was….standing there.     Before another word could be said or a move could be made, the girl rushed into his arms, wrapping hers around his neck.     “I missed you! So much!” She whispered.     He reluctantly wrapped his arms around her form as he realized that she was real. “Ka-Kazmiyah.” Was the only thing that he could recover enough to say.     She pulled away from him with a small smile. “In the flesh...I guess.”      Kazmiyah was as beautiful as ever, her hair long and flowy, unlike the intricate long braids that she used to wear before she died. There was something about her that was different. But before he could even comment on it, he found her attention on Aurora who had just started to leave.     “Who are you?” Kazmiyah asked.     Aurora turned around, brow raised with a small smile. “Should I feel obligated to answer that question?” She asked.     Kazmiyah scoffed. “Well, I’ve never been one to boast a title, but I guess technically, yes, you should.”     Godfrey was surprised at her response to what Aurora had said. He didn’t remember Kazmiyah being so confrontational. To be honest, he didn’t know what to say or even how or whether he should intercede.     “Hm,” Aurora smirked. “I must have missed the memo, darling.” She turned on her heels and walked away.      When Kazmiyah growled and looked at Godfrey, he leaned back and stared at Kazmiyah curiously, caught off guard by her sudden aggression.     “Who is she?” She asked.     Her eyes flashed, almost suddenly pulsating with what Godfrey could only assume was retained energy; something that he had never seen before she died. There was something up with her.      “She-she’s a sorceress of the-”     “What?!” Kazmiyah snapped. “You let the enemy in here-”     “No, Kaz-no it’s not like that-”     Godfrey had no time to finish his words before Kazmiyah disappeared. He cursed under his breath as he realized that this situation was about to get complicated. “What did you do, Godfrey?”      Aurora was down to the last step when she felt her feet lifting from the ground. She was caught off guard but not for long enough to counteract what happened. She hadn’t used her power since awakening but she remembered the gist of how it worked.     “What is a child of the sun doing here?” Kazmiyah hissed. When the young woman didn't answer right away, Kazmiyah pressed. “Why are you here?!” She demanded of Aurora.     By this time Aurora was in the air, facing Kazmiyah. “Aunt Aurora!” Mags came in, ready to attack Kazmiyah when Aurora gestured with her hand for her niece not to intervene. She had a feeling that this one was nothing to play with. She could sense the pent-up power within her.      “I’d rather not ruin the elder’s home by making you release me,” Aurora said. “So, I am going to ask you nicely, darling.”     Kazmiyah stood there, frustration in her thoughts. Why? Why was Godfrey freely talking to a sorceress? Those that are responsible for the havoc wreaked on Crescent? Why? She was so lost in her thoughts, that she had forgotten that she still had the girl in the air.     “I tried,” Aurora said and with a gesture of her hand, Kazmiyah was thrown into the stair, caving it in.      Aurora did notice something a trifle odd, however, when she used her power; it was almost magnetic-the feeling that followed her using. It was as if she could feel the power that was being used against this girl, suddenly empowering her with even more force. Deciding, that she'd relish in whatever it was later, Aurora pushed the thought from her mind and attended her thoughts to this girl again.      “I’ll fix it later,” Aurora said after she landed gracefully onto the floor. She then looked up at Godfrey who seemed to be without words. This did nothing but piss her off. Yes, it was obvious that this girl and he had some sort of relationship. She understood that; not to mention the fact that she and Godfrey really didn’t know one another so Aurora really had no right to assume that he would take up for her. When their eyes met, she was hoping that he could see in her gaze that she was officially done waiting for his help. And just in case he hadn’t got the memo, she’d express it aloud.     “Don’t worry, I’ll handle my problems on my own from here on out.” She said and started out of the mansion.     Kazmiyah recovered, anger renewed, and her mind temporarily in an erratic way. Before Aurora was clear out of the door, Kazmiyah had her by the back of her neck and threw her through the front door, dismantling the whole front paneling of the covens’ house.     “Aurora!” Mags screamed and started to attack when Kazmiyah, paused her whole form in its place and tossed her back against the furnace, knocking her unconscious.     “Kaz!” Godfrey rushed after her.     “Stay out of this, Godfrey. I’ll handle this.” She went outside to further confront the situation of this little sorceress.     Aurora bounced off of the ground, her clothes shredding on impact as her body slid across the loose rocks in the driveway.     Anger and amusement fueling her, she stood, her body feeling….different than a minute ago as if it were riled up. Having landed on her arm, Aurora let it heal, the bones, mending itself as she showed the girl the attention that she obviously wanted.     “This is going to be fun.” A voice said in her head, catching her off guard for a moment before she shook it away and turned her attention on the oncoming little inhuman coming for her.     "Aurora, run!" Godfrey yelled urgently. "Kazmiyah don't-"     “Stay out of this, Godfrey.” Aurora hissed. “You didn’t bother to interfere before. No need to do so now.”     “Aurora.!” Godfrey said, on edge. “You don’t realize who you’re up against.”     “She’ll learn.” Kazmiyah snarled.     Aurora scoffed at Godfrey's warning. “Oh, darling, it seems you underestimate me far more than you overestimate this one.” She could sense that there was something off about this one-her mind seemed unstable. She could see this from the way her blue eyes would pulsate. The girl obviously couldn’t control it.      “Aurora, she’s a goddess!” Godfrey tried to tell her.     “Goddess, huh? That explains the arrogance, but in my experience, I’ve come to realize. Everything can die.” Aurora growled and just as she did, she readied herself for Kazmiyah to attack.     They started for one another when an excruciating pain took over Aurora, crippling her to the point where she couldn’t move. Her feet buckled beneath her just as Kazmiyah landed a punch, knocking her past the gate and into the yard outside of it. Aurora’s body penetrated a truck She tried to pull herself from the wreckage caused. When she stood again, she saw Kazmiyah coming for her again. Thinking fast she used her lingering strength to backhand her, using a telekinetic force behind it, the strike so hard Kazmiyah crumbled the brick gate. Aurora then fell to the ground again, screaming in agony.     Godfrey rushed over to her. “Aurora! What-” The rest of his sentence was suddenly caught in his throat as he saw her incisors shooting from her gums. Her bones cracked violently.     When Godfrey heard Kazmiyah coming again, he stood and stopped her. “Kazmiyah, stop! That’s enough!” He snapped as he watched on incredulously.     Kazmiyah, confused for a moment, watched on as blood ran from Aurora’s fingernails while they slowly grew into sharp claws.     “What-what is she?” Kazmiyah asked.      Godfrey didn’t answer right away, as he, too was caught off guard at what he was seeing. He mentally connected to his father, knowing that he was around and so was Warren, considering it was his truck that was now destroyed.      Aurora’s teeth had grown, her claws still raised and bones cracking before she passed out from the pain.     “Dad.” Godfrey picked Aurora’s unconscious body up. “I know you’re busy, but you’re going to want to take a look at this.” He said. "And the Alpha Crescent will too." `“Godfrey?” Kazmiyah called to him. “What-what is going on-” `“She’s not just a child of the sun, Kazmiyah.” He said as they headed to the house. “She’s one of the moon too.” He sighed and looked at her sympathetically. “Just like you.”
