As the butler closed the door behind him he had just stood gazing at her. With the swiftness of a serpent she had glided towards him and into his arms. She raised both hands and pulled his head down to hers. Her kiss had sent the blood throbbing in the Marquis’s temples. “I have missed you, oh, darling Ivor, how much I have missed you,” Locadi murmured. After that introduction he had forgotten everything except her and her sinuous body.
