Thomas’s pov I didn't want to reason it but my feet carried me down the street. Everyone greeted me alpha as I walked past. My mind was telling me. That lady who bumped into me was Annabel. It was no joke. He recognized her scent. He knew it was her. I shook my head, trying to clear the confusion that clouded my thoughts. The bustling street seemed to swallow me as I retraced my steps, searching for any sign of the mysterious woman. Was it Annabel? Or had my mind conjured an illusion? Liam, a long-time friend, noticed my distracted demeanor. "Hey, Thomas, everything okay?" he asked, concern etching his features. I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "I bumped into someone, and now I can't shake the feeling it was Annabel. But she vanished, and I'm not sure if I imagined it."
