Chapter 5

Coles p.o.v.
I wake up from laying on the floor and try to get up but stumble. I look down at see my legs but instead of legs I see paws. There is a mirror on one of the walls to look at your wolf form. What I see surprises me to say the least. Looking in the mirror blood red eyes look right back at me. I look at the rest of me and see a black wolf with red tipped ears and blue tipped tail. I take a moment to smell around and listen to my surroundings. Everything is amplified by 10. I love being able to hear people walking above me and smell the food being cooked. The door to the basement opens and in walks the Alpha and father. When they see me they gasp both surprise and shock.
"Shift back Cole. There are clothes on the chair for you." father says.
After shifting and putting clothes on, I make my way to the door to see father and alpha whispering to each other.
"Could she take after her mother?" asks Alpha.
"I don't know. She probably does." confirms father.
Emeralds p.o.v.
Today is the day of my first shift and Alpha has been ignoring me like the plague. I wanted my first shift to be with Cole but she is gone so I have to do this by myself. The pack house is surrounded by woods so I go ahead and take of into them. Starting off at a slow jog I pass trees after trees until coming upon small lake with a roaring waterfall. Before the shifting starts I go to explore the waterfall and stumble upon a cave behind the falls. 'This is my new spot' I think to myself. Next thing I know waves of pain hit me.
"f*****g shit... owww...." I yell in the dark cave.
After my bones rearrange themselves I stumble to the edge of the lake to see my reflection and my appearance shocks me. My fur is white with purple tipped ears and tail plus my back left paw is green. My eyes are the prettiest shade of light purple that I have ever seen. I then hear a voice inside my head.
'Emerald have you finished shifting yet.' asks Alpha, 'I need to know your fur color.'
'Why don't I just show you instead?' I respond.
