Fate or Coercion?
To live a fulfilling life or rather an anonymous one. Zack had all the time to decide, especially with the horrible hours He had spent last night, this time He wanted to think. So not attending the party again seemed justifiable. With His little Sister screaming down the hallway and His Mom yelling out for her, this couldn't get any worse. Zack loved it in Paulsburg. The city was remarkable and the weather was fine and charming, even though the records held a different disposition due to the heavy rains. But Zack didn't mind about that. Maybe because He grew up and lived most of His life here. Maybe it's the amazing park across Billton Avenue that He loved to visit, or it's the friends that He found Himself with over the years in Highschool. Despite that, Zack knew that things were changing. It was like watching that little flower grow and learning that it will someday have to blossom. But isn't that its purpose, Zack thought to himself. Disturbed by a rattling sound at the door, He poofed himself out of thoughts as He heard it open. "Dinner is served dear" a soft sound spoke behind. "Okey Mom, be there shortly", Zack responded. He could now hear the sound of His mother's footsteps move down stairs. It was 7 p.m already and dinner was served. Zack immediately pushed Himself and glanced onto a mirror by the side, nailed perfectly on the wall. Looking at the same image He's been seeing for past years. Same blue eyes and brown curly hair. A blue T-shirt easily noticed to be bought from the Ozy Store and a black soft Jean he got from His grandmother on His birthday. Moving out of the room and towards the stairs, the house was just a two story building of about 18 to 20 feet. Inside, the walls were painted grey with a bit of white and there was a vibrancy in every room, which made the house seem alive. People lived there—people with an ambition and hope, Zack believed, His Mom, Dad and little sister. Everyday didn't seem exciting for the Williams family and today was that kind, Zack thought. Outside, the house was painted cream white and had a dingy roof that needed a good construction, but Mom and Dad argued there way to sleep over that. The porch was fine, Mom always worked her Magic, she may have not been a successful Accountant like Dad, but had acquired lots of awards in her college life. We could spend the whole day of Christmas just listening to the stories. In the City of Chalvrish. Morris had a hard time learning from His brother, Tim. They would spend hours debating over what Morris had done and Tim would exploit His age for the victory. Their Father, Mr Baker, always wanted Morris to be a legal practitioner and qualified lawyer, and the dreams where now in close hands. Tim decided to follow a path of journalism and His Mom felt encouraged. He was in His Second year of study at Hogfield University in Chalvrish. Although Morris had a passion for Art, He wanted to fulfill His father's dreams of being a lawyer like Him. " I can't believe My son is going to be a Lawyer aswell" rejoiced Mr Baker at the dinner table. " Ofcourse", Mom giggled. Morris sat there listening to His two parents gossip about him during dinner. "...And at the Best Institution ever known", Tim added. " Come on Tim, even you?" frowned Morris. And they all laughed at Morris in excitement. The House wasn't much of unique as unto the others in Chalvrish. Mr Baker hadn't invested much into renovating it. Mrs Baker had most of the time in her Mini Restaurant just miles away Ahomas Street, and left the house chores in Alice's hand, Her maid. Morris sat there, beside the wooden table listening to His Dad's jokes and Tim laughing. He could see those black eyes His dad had generated into His two sons. Although, Morris had a slight touch of His Mother's character, Tim on the other hand, was exactly Dad. Morris may have been annoyed about the jokes during dinner but He was excited about heading to the best Institute of all. " I heard they serve the best dish there buddy", Tim murmured as silent as possible in my ears. "Really?", Morris asked. "Yep, I have a friend on the other Walls", Tim said while engulfing a large piece of potato in his mouth. "Say's....It's not...easy though". Morris paused for a minute. "Hey?", Tim called out. Morris, glanced onto Him. "You'll make it...I believe in you", spoke Tim. "Thanks", responded Morris. Meanwhile, it wasn't the first time Zack had a quiet meal. Watching His little twelve year old sister, Mary, secretly feed her cat behind her couldn't destruct Him either. But He could see those blue eyes they both inherit, that kind of smile that came out pretty natural like the moon during night time. "Stop it Mary", exclaimed Mom. Mary pulled her hands out of her secret deception without a word. "I feel happy for you Zack", Dad spoke. Zack knew that this was the moment. "Yeah, and you don't look excited. Mind telling your mom about it?", asked Mom. Zack paused a breath. "Do I have to go to Klon Mom?", asked Zack as softly as possible. "What are you saying?", Dad asked. "I mean..there so many Institutes and Universities nearby...do I have to go all the way to Willford?" answered Zack. "Ofcourse you have too", Dad spoke, His voice sounded with the horn of perplexity." Its the best Institute you've been offered and you should be happy about it" "I know Dad...But..." "Hushh...No buts dear, we've all agreed about your destination. We let you choose your major remember? so it's final", interrupted Mom. Zack sat, still and quiet. Just like always. Except this time He was coerced by His Mom. Made him think of the day He couldn't stand up to talk to beautiful Elsa. And the mockery he recieved from his friends, Deanice and George. Who cares?, Zack thought, Elsa had a boyfriend, and there was nothing I could do. Deep in his heart, He knew He had to do something. But now, things began to change. Zack had to comply to the decision made. Klon Institute was His destination, and His brilliant grades pushed Him towards it. George and Deanice on the other hand, had agreed to attend nearby Institutes. At least they had to choose, Zack thought in himself. Now, it was settled and He was going to be in Willford Town by this time next week.
