*Sean POV*
Emma. Sweet and innocent Emma. She was a perfect specimen. I had found her when she was in her mid-twenties and I couldn't keep my eyes off of her. I played the nice guy for awhile to get her attention and then once she said yes, well then my true self had came out. I was a possessive and cruel man. My father had raised me to be powerful and not let anyone stand in my way. In my world women were meant to be seen and not heard. They were to cook, clean, satisfy their husband, but above all they were to be subservient. I was lenient with Emma for awhile, because I knew she was working at a diner, but I forbid her from talking to men. She had no place talking to other men. I didn't care if she was a waitress and that that was her job, there were other waitresses working who could attend to the men. Emma was mine. Unfortunately she never listened to me when it came to that and that was why she was punished all the time. She didn't think she was doing anything wrong, but she was. Why, because she didn't listen to me. I was her Master in everything. Hell, I was the one who took her virginity. She belonged to me forever.
My grandfather was a very dangerous and powerful man, he ruled several towns. I had never felt the need to live in his towns, because I wanted power on my own, but since the day that Emma ran, that all changed. I was tired of her not listening and I was determined to make her subservient. I needed her to understand that there was only me and that I was her only salvation. I had set a trap for her to see just exactly what she was going to do. I had left the bedroom door opened and I purposely left the front door unlocked. I knew she was going to run, but I had hoped she wouldn't. I sat in the restroom, with the shower running and had watched her sneak out. What she didn't know was that I had known about her hidden bag. I had placed a tracker on the phone she had in there. I knew where she had been this whole time. When she came to this small town, I was so excited that I had called my grandfather and told him I had decided to move back home. He was happy of course, because my grandfather loved me but what he wanted most was for me to learn the ropes so that I could take over when it was my time. My father helped rule the town, but he was more of the collector and accountant. He was the one to keep track of the money and books. I on the other hand, was the muscle with the other men. I was the one to torture and I took pleasure in it. There was only a few apartment buildings in this town and they were cheap. I had called both and sent a picture of Emma, told them if she showed up to charge her at least 3 times the rent. I never thought she would last as long as she had. There were days she would be completely out of food, but she never gave up. I didn't like her stubbornness at all. I wanted her to give up and come crawling back admitting that she was wrong and that I was her salvation. That never happened and of course she had found a job at the local bar with the Branson's. They had been in trouble with my family before years ago. My grandfather had told me the story. So when I found out they helped Emma, that pissed me off, but I bided my time until it was right.
After I left the bar with the few men I had brought with me, I headed straight for grandfather's house. How could this man Tommy Branson be Hank's son. It had to be a lie. The fact that he claimed Emma as his woman and she f*****g agreed with him. I was going to enjoy putting Emma back in her place once I got her back, because I will have her back under my control, mark my words. I got out of the car and stormed inside grandfather's front door. He looked startled as he looked up at me. "What the f**k is the meaning of that Sean? Why are you barging in my home at this f*****g hour. I know you are my grandson and I love you, but I demand respect from you always." he snarled angrily. I sharply sucked in a deep breath and dropped my head. I didn't like disappointing him. This is all Emma and Tommy's fault. "I apologize Sir. I meant no disrespect, I am just upset about what happened at the bar. Emma refused to leave with me and then some man named Tommy decided to intervene." I said in frustration.
Grandfather just looked at me and shook his head. "I don't know how many times I warned you about that girl. She needs to be trained and punished properly in order to obey and be subservient to you. You are slacking Sean, why did you let her leave in the first place?" he said with annoyance. "I am not really sure why I did that. It was a bad move on my part. I will do everything in my power to get her back Sir. Oh yeah, by the way. Hank Branson mentioned something I found quite interesting tonight." I said with determination and slight amusement. "Okay, I'll bite Sean. What was so interesting that Hank said?" he said somewhat disgusted. "He let that son of a b*tch Tommy talk rudely to me and then he said to tell you that he was tired of running. That his son had more rights than I ever will. Funny thing is, he wasn't talking about Jackson." I said calmly.
I must have peeked my grandfather's attention, because he perked up and was listening to me intently. "Who was he talking about then?" he said cautiously. "You are never going to believe this grandfather, but he was talking about that man Tommy. Then before Hank could even finish talking to him Tommy spoke in his place." I said through gritted teeth, because I remembered what he said and did with Emma. "Dammit, spit it out Sean." he snarled. I looked at my grandfather and told him exactly what Tommy said.
"He told me that his name was Tommy Branson and that I could tell my family that he was back and that there was nothing we could do about it. Then he told me that I had to let you know that the Mafia King has been informed and he is not very happy with you. That he was disrespected and blantaly disobeyed. He is extremely pissed that you never called about the order of this town. Then this Tommy had the balls to tell me that The Mafia King owns this country and that my family and I have f****d ourselves royally. I, of course, told him that he was bluffing, because why would my grandfather ever lie to me about something so big. I thought you killed Hank's son. I thought you said you ruled this town, plus several others and there should never be any problems with anything? What is going to happen?" I said with concern. Grandfather sighed deeply and then just chuckled darkly. "Nothing is going to happen my boy. I have everything under control, don't you worry yourself with this matter." he said dangerously low. I nodded my head and headed towards the door. Before I left I turned and watched in shock as my grandfather, the one who always has his head on his shoulders lose control. He upturned the table, he was throwing anything he could get his hands on and was cursing worse than I ever heard him do before. The only thing I heard that I remotely understood was one paragraph he muttered out as he gritted his teeth. "I should of killed that little f****r when I had the chance that day. Why did I have to let him live only for him to come back later and f**k everything up. Your time is coming to an end Tommy Branson. Your whole family better prepare themselves, because I am coming for you all." Grandfather was seething and even though he scares me sometimes, this time I felt a strong sense of uneasiness and I was f*****g excited and scared. This is going to be one hell of a ride. I can't wait. Patience Emma. I will be back for you soon enough.
