I woke up this morning feeling like I had bench-pressed eight thousand pounds. My arms, shoulders, and even breasts hurt from carrying Mike Reynolds two and a half miles. I was going to have to work on my upper body strength.
Mike Reynolds was still in the infirmary because he hadn't woken up yet. The physician checked him over and found he wasn’t severely wounded. Mostly scrapes and bruises, but we don’t know what damage he sustained mentally. Mike is being held for observation until he can wake up on his own.
I got dressed for the day and grabbed my phone to call Everett. I missed him so much and couldn’t wait to see him again. He was already in his office when he answered and looked exhausted. I noticed he was still wearing the same clothes from yesterday.
