(Luciana POV)
James did not look a bit pleased. He looked at me with disappointment before looking at my mate.
"What were you thinking?! Taking the queen out to the village unguarded" James shouted at Nero. The whole area went silent as their attention focused completely on us.
"Nothing happened, Sir James. I don't understand why you are causing such a scene" Nero countered back, his voice stern and with no intention of backing up.
"What if something happened? Would you be responsible for the Queen?! It is your duty to report when the queen returns. Do you know the consequence of neglecting your duty?"
"How the hell did I neglect the duty? My duty is to protect the queen and I am doing that just fine!"
