I laid Candice on my bed and kissed her forehead. After I stopped her antics in the forest and that conversation, she had fallen asleep in my arms on our way home. I grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around her. She’s sound asleep right now. Someone knocked on the door three times, and it was Jonnah who entered my room.
