Betrayal

(YEAR 1805)

We got the palace back with the help of the other mythical creatures that still follow my leadership right after my mother passed away. But then, the years of protecting the palace were only for a brief time. I couldn’t comprehend how Keiran is getting powers to do this.

“My lord, the hunters have invaded the palace. They have killed most of the vampires and other creatures, what is your command?” Seth stood by the door calmly.

I stayed seated at my throne. I wasn’t worried at all since hunters are human. We can easily crush them with our bare hands. But there is one thing that’s holding me back, Jinri was caught by the hunters and they believed that I bewitched him to be with me. They imprisoned him at the hunter’s palace.

“My lord, we have to move out. They will overrun us.” Seth said.

I took a deep breath, “I can’t leave Jinri.”

“My lord… he was captured. He is in the hunter’s palace; hundreds of hunters are surrounding that place right now.”

“I made up my mind, I will take Jinri with me. Whether he wanted it or not, I will turn him into a vampire so we could be together.”

The palace was raided and I told the other vampires to flee and hide once again. I went to the palace of hunters to get Jinri out and take him with me. I searched for him using his blood coursing through my veins, it is the only way for me to know where he is. Seth was against my decision of going to that place, that happened to be the vampire hunters’ headquarters. But he didn’t have a choice but to follow me, even if it was just the two of us ready to die.

We were immediately surrounded by hunters when we materialized inside the palace grounds. They knew we were headed there. It was only the two of us but they feared Seth’s ability, let alone mine.

Seth was about to withdrew his sword but I halted him. He stood quietly behind me. The hunters were all in their fighting stance.

“I didn’t come here so we could have more bloodshed. I came here for the general’s son,” I said loudly.

“What made you think I will give him to you,” Jinri's father walked through the crowd of his hunters.

“I don’t think you would… I know you would,” I said with a smile.

He snorted, “Dracula’s heir, you are in no place to ask for my son. You have clearly bewitched him and brainwashed him thinking you are his lover.”

“Bring him here and we will prove it. Unless you want more bloodshed, which my general would gladly give you,” I smirked.

Seth drew out his sword, with traces of blood still showing on it.

“I wouldn’t stop him from his killing spree unless you hand me my mate,” I smiled sweetly.

All smiles disappeared on my face when one of the hunters dragged Jinri by the arm beside his father. The moment our eyes met he tried to ran to me but the other hunter put his sword on Jinri's neck. I growled at them, they sensed my anger, they all backed away.

“Take the sword away from him or I will cut you in half with it!” I snarled at the hunter holding him.

“Do it and I would not think twice of killing my son!”

Jinri and I were both shocked with what his father said. Tears formed in his eyes when looked at his father. I felt the pain in his heart. I felt pity for him that his father would be willing to sacrifice him just to defeat me, whereas, I would be willing to lose my life for him.

“How could you thought of sacrificing your own son just to stop me? He is your offspring!”

“I’d rather he be dead than to hand him to you!” Jinri's tears clearly showed the pain he felt and even without our bond I could tell his heart breaks for his father.

“You have no idea how painful that is for your son to hear it for himself.”

“I would not let you drink his blood and turn him into one of you monsters!”

“He wouldn’t want to be a vampire, if I were to choose, I'd turn him since I met him. Asked him yourself.” His father was surprised with what I said. He stared at Jinri's teary eyes.

He turned his gaze back to me, “I wouldn’t let you kill him like what your father did to his mother! Your father killed my wife!”

He grabbed Jinri's arm, “don’t you see son. They are monsters! They killed your mother; his father killed your mother! Once a bloodsucker always and for eternity a bloodsucker! Killers!”

“Stop father!” Jinri yelled.

“I knew about my mother! You lied to me about her death! You sacrificed her! You were the one who killed her! She found love with another vampire because you hurt her with your infidelity! She met a vampire that made her feel loved and she loved back!”

“She was bewitched that is why she left and died along with that monster!”

“I’m not bewitched father. I’m going with Seraphim on my own free will!”

I smiled to my heart’s content. I was overjoyed that I didn’t sense a silver spear suddenly pierced through my heart. I heard Jinri's scream when I felt my knees gave in. I glanced at Seth as he was chained down and had two spears pierced through his chest. We were caught in a moment and were deceived.

Seth looked at me, terrified of what will happen to me. He was dragged away and was brought inside the palace immediately. I felt and sense other vampire soldiers when their feet landed behind me.

I watched in horror as Keiran, Seth’s brother walked towards Jinri's father.

“Keiran... I should have known…”

Blood dripped from my chest down to the ground. It trickled down the spear holding me pinned to the ground. I coughed out blood. I held onto the spear to try and remove it, but silver chains appeared before my eyes and my wrists were bound away.

Jinri cried in pain. I watched as he clutched his heart and he fell on the ground. We bonded in a way that our bloods are tied to each other, he feels what I feel. The bond we had as a vampire and human are more like marriage. His life tied to mine, mine to his.

“Sera...” he knelt on the ground from the pain.

I watched him suffer more than I am. It made me angrier, only vampires knew about this sacred ritual. Dracula, my grandfather never shared his blood with any humans, he once tried but he ended up killing the human. Only we have the ability to share our blood with humans without turning them into vampires. It was a sacred ritual for royalties.

I watched in horror when Keiran walked towards Jinri and touched his face. He caressed his face and looked at me when he kissed his cheek. Anger boiled inside me.

“Look at you your highness. You gave your royal blood to a human who will end up killing you.”

I growled and tried to stand up with all my strength but the other traitors held me down with their feet.

“You shouldn’t have done this your majesty. You should have given it to any of us but you chose a human and someone like Seth!”

I see the jealousy and anger on Keiran’s eyes. But all my attention went back to Jinri, who now lay on the ground clutching his chest. I have to remove the spear on my chest or Jinri will die from the pain. This was the only disadvantage of this ritual, if the vampire is not careful the human could suffer. This clearly was my fault.

“Seth!” I yelled for Seth.

“Your poor pet will not be able to save you. The others will feast on him until the last drop of his blood. This bond you did with this human has given us all the advantage we needed to get you on your knees.”

Jinri’s father knelt down next to him on the ground, “how do you cure my son from all of this? He shouldn’t suffer with that monster!”

“The only way your son would no longer feel pain is if the king dies.” Keiran smiled at me.

Keiran grabbed my head, “make the king tear his heart out of his chest. It’s the only way he would die.”

My eyes widened, if I perish so will Jinri and Seth. Anyone connected to the royal bloods will perish.

He cupped my face and stared at my eyes, “blame your mother for what will happen to your human. She already killed you when she chose Seth over me. After the love I gave her, she had to choose my good for nothing brother more than me. And you…”

Tears fell from his eyes, “you let Seth drink yours too? What does my brother have that I don’t, your majesty? And now…”

He turned my face to Jinri, and whispered in my ear, “you gave him everything. A filthy human who you choose as your mate? I will have you crush your own heart in front of him. I promised you, I will f**k him and he would die before this day end.”

I growled and tried to resist but every move I made gives Jinri pain. I stopped when I saw him whimpered in pain.

“What say you, your majesty? The only way to help your human is to kill yourself.”

Keiran lifted Jinri and laid him in front of me, “take your heart out and end this pain.”

JInri’s father was alarmed, “wait, what will happen to my son?”

“Just watch hunter,” Keiran said with a devious smile. He had other plans towards the humans, and it isn’t good.

I looked down at Jinri. He looked at me with pain in his eyes, my tears fell knowing that after this we won’t see each other again. I didn’t even think of what will happen to Seth once I do this. All I could think of was to ease Jinri’s pain.

“I’ll relieve you of your pain my love.”

I tried to reach out for him but I was pulled away by the other vampires.

I growled at them, “know this, all of you traitors, once I take my heart out, make sure I am really dead. Because if I am not, I will come for you all and I will have all of your heads.”

I looked at Jinri lovingly, “I’m sorry… know that I love you. I will find you in the afterlife…”

**Seth’s POV**

I was held captive on the other side of the palace. I could hear the king calling me. Female vampires had their fangs all over my body sucking all my blood. I struggled to get myself freed, when I thought all hopes were gone, two of them kneel in front of me and tore my pants away, they looked at me with hooded eyes and lust on their faces.

They bound my hands with silver chains. I let myself feel lust. One sank her fangs on my thigh close to my groin while the other bite her lip from desire and inserted my p***s on her mouth.

/Female vampires? Dear brother, you think so little of me. /

I felt lust more and all of them feeding on my blood felt it too. The vampire sucking my p***s stared at me lustfully. I used that to my advantage. I smirked at her.

“Do you want me to f**k you?” I smiled sweetly.

She nodded her head while she continuously sucks my p***s. I moaned and smiled at her.

“Come here, come and kiss me.”

“f**k me please my lord,” she jumped on top of me. I groaned when all the other female vampires continued sucking my blood out. If I didn’t hurry, I will not be able to help the king.

“You have to remove my chain so I can hold you.”

She hesitated, and looked at the other females busy drinking my blood.

I moaned again, “Come here, come kiss me.”

As soon as she did one of them sucked my p***s again. It made my moan believable. I moan on the woman’s mouth.

“I could f**k you endlessly even with just my hand, I’ll make you my mate if you unchain me,” I whispered at her mouth.

That got her, this was a young naive vampire. So are the others. They were all hungry and starving. But this one on top of me, I could smell her lust towards me.

She suddenly jumped off of me and broke the chain on one of my hands.

“NO!” Someone yelled, it caught the attention of the other female vampires. I growled and threw all of them on the wall. I broke the other chain when I got a hold of my blade. I stared at the young vampires, they all cowered in the corner of the room.

They all burned to ashes after I separated their heads from their bodies and tore their hearts out. I wanted to make sure that none of my blood was left behind. The royalty’s blood is far too precious to be in any vampires not worthy of it. The countess’ blood is only mine.

Hunters came inside the room. I was still trying to recuperate since it felt like I lost drums of blood. A fine young woman stood in front of them. She is a hunter with the way she held her sword. She blushed after looking down on my groin.

“Distracted?” I smirked at her.

/Seth/ I heard the king again.

The hunters started attacking me, but since I didn’t have time, I killed all of them in one blow, leaving just the woman. I was about to go when she yelled at me.

“You’re not going anywhere!” She blocked me with her sword but before she could move an inch, I pinned her to the pillars.

She blushed when she felt my body on hers, “if I am not busy, I would have enjoyed feasting on you. But I need to go.”

“I’ll kill you monster!” She yelled in my face.

I was so angry at being called a monster; I tore her upper clothing exposing her neck down to her breast. She gasped and she blushed more. She saw me admiring her bosoms. I licked my lips but then I heard the king’s voice again in my head.

“Monster, am I?” I grabbed her head backwards, she shrieked. I sank my fangs on her throat. She screamed in pain and tried to fight me off. I sucked her blood and felt her shiver.

I let go and whispered in her ear, “Mmm, you’re f*****g delicious for a human.”

I bite down again so I could taste more. I let my venom mixed into her bloodstream. She held onto me as she felt that arousal with it. When she became light headed, I pulled out my fangs. I licked my bite close to let my venom do its work.

I bite my wrist next. I suck my blood out of it and kissed her. I forced her mouth to open using my tongue to put all the blood I sucked in her throat. She pursed her lips so I pinched her nose hard, she had no choice but to open her mouth. She swallowed my blood and made a gurgling sound and choke on it.

She coughed some of it out. I let her fall on her knees. She looked up at me with wide eyes.

“What did you do to me?” she continued coughing.

I stood over her, “I made you into someone that you hate, a monster.”

She gasped and tried to choke out the blood.

“No! NO! NO!” she cried and tried to choke it out of her mouth using her fingers.

“That’s useless love. You will turn into someone you hate little by little. You will want to kill for blood as you change over the next few days. You will outlive everyone that you love. And one day you will kill and kill and kill some more for a drop of blood.”

She cried and screamed.

I smiled at her, “If you live to see another day…”

She cut me off suddenly, “I will. I will come and find you and I will kill you!”

I laughed loudly, “oh you will find me alright, because your body will tell you so… and you will come for me… on the sheets of my bed... because your body will want me to f**k you…”

She stopped crying, shocked with everything she heard. I crouched down next to her.

I caressed her face, “I am your master. I will have a command on your body, whether you like it or not…”

I saw the reflection of my eyes on hers when I lean closer to her face, “You will come and find me, when the right time comes… so try to live for another day.”

The last thing I heard was a painful shrieked from the woman and teleported myself to the king.

I swung my sword on the vampires that I landed on. One by one, their heads fell on the ground. I was all bloodied, I had cuts and bites all over my body. I was naked.

I materialized behind the king, “your majesty? Forgive me I took so long.”

“Take out the spear Seth.”

As soon as he said that I pulled the spear from his back, he growled and cough out blood after. He looked for Jinri right away as the hunters started to attack us. It was only me and him fighting for our lives until the unimaginable happened.

“Your highness!” Keiran yelled.

We all gasped when we saw who Keiran had in his hands.

“No…” I felt the fear in Seraphim’s heart.

“What’s the meaning of this vampire? Let my son go,” Jinri’s father ran to them but before he could one of the vampires got to him and tore out his throat. Even if he allied with Keiran, he is still Jinri’s father.

He cried upon seeing his father’s lifeless body fell on the ground.

“You really thought I would give my allegiance to these filthy humans?”

“Keiran, let him go. I will forgive all of you, just let him go.” Seraphim said.

“Cut your heart out Seraphim! I will have your throne, if not I will kill your human.”

“Brother! Stop this!” I yelled, Keiran just gave me a cold stare.

“You can have my throne. Just hand Jinri to me.” Seraphim said.

“My lord…-” I stopped him.

He raised one of his hands to stop me.

“I want your heart too!” Keiran said. He pushed Jinri to kneel down.

“Keiran!” I yelled in anger at my brother.

I saw the king placed his hand over his chest. He was ready to take his heart out. Just then both our eyes saw what Jinri had in his hand. He stabbed Keiran with his silver blade.

“No!” I heard Seraphim screamed and I was shocked to my core that my brother stabbed Jinri with his blade right to his heart.

Jinri and Seraphim both fell on the ground. I had no choice but to take them both in my arms and teleported them away from here. I had to retreat, I wouldn’t be able to fight the vampires and the hunters while protecting them both.

We hid in the forest, behind the waterfalls. I watched with a broken heart as the king cried over his human mate that died.

**Seth’s POV**

I still remember how Jinri died in the past. Seraphim cried over his dead lover’s body after he drank his blood until the last drop. I knew what it felt if you lost someone you love. Seraphim’s mother was someone I adore but not really my mate. I do have someone I consider as a mate but I couldn't tell what I'm really feeling.

“I buried Jinri’s body under the ground on that day,” Seraphim stood beside me.

“And you slept next to him?”

“Yes.”

“Why didn’t you tell me sire?”

“I wanted to just sleep and think that I died with him that day. He asked me to drink his blood till its last drop and I did. I laid him in the coffin that was meant for any of the royalty members. It was a burial ground for us. I’m sorry I asked you to leave that day. I just couldn’t have you bear my emotions too.”

I smiled; Seraphim really had changed. He was a possessive prince. He is always full of anger but when his mother died it made him a mad king. He kills and kills every single day. I am thankful that Jinri lived again.

He was about to leave when he turned to me again, “I know you know where to find your brother Seth. And you know that he has to pay for what he did.”

“I understand sire.”

Seraphim disappeared. I knew where to find Keiran. Somehow, I wanted him to just have the life he wanted long ago. But what he did to me and Seraphim three centuries ago is unforgivable.

“Your reign is over my brother. You chose for this to happen and I can’t stop Seraphim from ending your life. I actually wouldn’t stop him even if you begged.”
