“Luna, stop right now!” The stern voice belonging to my mate was heard for the third time when I wasn’t stopping running from the small cabin. I had never felt this kind of hurt before, and I didn’t know what to do with it, cry, scream? Kill the girl that my mate clearly cared for!?

The last part sounded what I wanted when the black shadow passed me, blocking me off with a loud growl that made me break even if I didn’t want to see the big Alpha wolf that had cut off my escape route with his body, leaving me stranded with the lake behind and the snarling beast that was my mate before me.

None of us shifted back when I whimpered, seeing him come closer, and to my shock and humiliation, he grabbed my neck with his jaws, holding me down gently but firmly with his big body, making sure I couldn’t move from the spot he had pinned me down on.

I tried whining, making it look like he was hurting me to no use when his teeth were just gracing my skin at the neck and having enough pressure to hold me but not crush me like he could do.

“Submit.” He said it calmly when I growled back, my paws scratching the dirt underneath me, wanting to leave; he was never getting me to submit!

Caleb sighed like he had expected that and pierced my skin to the howls of my wolf's offended cries, leaving my mouth underneath the giant beast upon me.

“I said submit female!” His growling grew stronger; the vibrations from his chest and neck shook me the slightest, feeling more like a ragdoll than anything other when I was crying out from the force he was pushing down on me. I had no clue he even could do that! I was starting to feel sick over the pressure on my mind.

“I submit, please, Alpha!” I was crying at him as loud as I could when the nausea was getting worse when he let me go, pulling out his teeth slowly, trying to see if I was just tricking him when I wasn’t; I was going to vomit if he didn’t stop this!

He huffed, letting me go entirely and sitting beside the spot I was lying on, panting from what was still happening to my body, slightly dizzy and shaking from the intense fear that had gripped my heart when he was holding me down.

“That was the first and the last time you ever ran from me, Luna.” Caleb's voice was deep and guttural in my mind, and I had no doubts that he was serious, speaking every word to me over the bond.

“I think I’m going to be sick….” My last words were cut off by the disgusting fluid running down my jaw, splattering over the ground, and showing the meat I had been eating mixed with… everything!

“Oh s**t, are you okay, baby??” Caleb had shifted back, taking my big wolf head in his hands, not caring that he was getting vomit all over him when I was making crying noises, feeling him caress my head with his strong hands. No, I was not okay!

My face was still covered with vomit when I shifted back. I cried when Caleb picked me up when I was human again, still not being moved from where I had thrown up everything after he chased me!

He didn’t answer me; he looked as guilty as he felt, knowing that he had pushed me down with all his Alpha power!

Looking up, still dizzy at him with my shaky breaths, what was his problem anyway!? I wasn’t going to run away! I wanted some air; it hurt to hear him talk of that girl he had before me!

“I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to do that… you were running and... I got scared….” He was pleading with me back, upset over what had happened too, not counting on his alpha force to have such a strong effect on me.

Caleb got quiet again when I was still trying to not have the world spinning around me, my jaws set, scared to death. I would spew all over the handsome guy holding my face gently and sweetly, not a trace of the aggressive wolf that had pushed me down just minutes ago.

“You can throw up all over me, baby; it's fine; I just want to know that you and the pup are okay…” he smiled sweetly when the crying sound got stuck in my throat, seeing his tender eyes on me.

Pup?!

I wasn’t even sure what he meant by that, watching me with his big dark eyes, which were thrilled. Did he just tell me that I was pregnant?? All I could do was blink at what he said to me in such a soft voice that it made me start crying again. Pregnant!? How? I mated with him two days ago; that was impossible!

“No, no, it's not…. I told you, didn’t I? that you were already pregnant! You should be able to resist my Alpha powers since you are one, but having a baby makes you more sensitive; this is proof!” Caleb sounded happier than I had ever seen him in the few days we had known each other. It was like this was the next step he wanted to take with me, not in the future.

“Yes, why wouldn’t I be happy? this is a good thing, Mila, showing the pack you can provide an heir!” I still wasn’t sure about what he was talking about. Wiping the vomit away with my arm from my face, was it? The pack, what about us? This had to be scary for him, the same as me; he wasn’t that old!

“Emilia, you are overthinking this. Does it matter how old or long we have been mated?? This is our chance to finally push back my father from his seat as the head!” I was staring at his face, changing when he talked about wanting to overthrow the same man he couldn’t stand up against, even when I was dying on the floor beneath him.

“Caleb, is that why you wanted us to have an heir so fast?” my lip started to tremble; why was he so obsessed with taking out his father, whom he feared? He was, and I could see it on him even if nobody else did.

“No, but it doesn’t hurt…” He was grinning back, hoisting me up more into the air like we were celebrating when my face was worried; I didn’t want to have a baby that would get dragged into whatever feud Caleb and my uncle had.

Caleb was still holding me, smiling like he had it all under control when I knew that he didn’t, and us having a pup wasn’t just a good thing; I still didn’t understand that much about this world he came from, and now I was supposed to navigate it with a baby? Oh, goddess…. I was looking down, sad. I felt his nose puffing at my neck, wanting to comfort me, acting like his wolf, not sure what to say about the sadness in my chest about something that made him so happy.

“Leave my father to me… I promise Mila that he is never going to get to you. If he ever comes close, I will kill him, just like I would have ripped Katerina to shreds for scratching your beautiful face….” I smiled the slightest, feeling him still nuzzling into my neck. It wasn’t the perfect answer, but it felt better, knowing that he would have defended me with all his power, even against a girl he once had feelings for.

“In a heartbeat, I love you, and we are the future Alpha and Luna; nobody is going to stand in our way, feelings or not….” Caleb's voice dropped in my mind, getting goosebumps from him telling me he was serious; he finally lifted his head, meeting mine, when I nuzzled his face that still was beaming against my smile.

“Yes, Alpha…” I was purring more when he snickered, pulling me closer and kissing me, feeling the strong warmth inside my chest; I loved him so much.
