Those words rolling off of Scotts tongue, had me shaking. My knees, trembling at the thought, had me feeling uneasy. I felt sick to my stomach, like I could throw up. The hairs on my arms and back of my neck stood on end, as I had chill bumps everywhere. I broke into a cold sweat and my body felt clammy.
"You what?" Alpha growled in disbelief.
Scott looked down at him grinning. He was proud of his plans. He is happy he was going to ruin any chance I had left to be happy. When I met my mate I wouldn't even be able to complete the mate bond because I would've been marked by him. The thought made my stomach wrench. I looked down at my feet. I couldn't stand the sight of Scott anymore.
And apparently neither could alpha because the next thing I knew, he had struck him again. Dom grabbed a hold of Scotts shirt and threw him into the ground. Scott sucked in a raspy gasp of air, being slammed into the ground must've knocked the breathe out of him. Dom proceeded to mount Scott, it looked like it was going to get bad.
"No." I tell Dom.
At the sound of my voice Dom looked over his shoulder, his eyes burning bright red. The look in his eyes was terrifying. I definitely wouldn't want to be on his bad side, But right now the only thing I want to do is take a scorching hot shower and scrubb Scotts scent away from my skin.
"Please just leave." I told Scott. "You aren't welcome here or at my shop. Nor do I want you around my son."
"Fine." Scott says through his teeth.
I could see Doms knuckles grow white as he clenched his fist even tighter around Scotts collar.
Dom leaned in close to Scott, his voice so low it was inaudiable to me. But from the look on Scotts face, he heard him clear as day. His eyes wide as he listened to what ever it was Dom was telling him. I just want him gone. I want him out of my yard. I want him out my life.
"You heard her." Dom said as he released his hold on Scott and stood up.
He yanked Scott off the gound and shoved him towards the door. "Leave."
Scott stumbling over his feet looking back at him.
"This ain't over." Scott sneered at Dom as he opened his driver door.
"That's a promise" Dom agreed in a low growl as he stepped closer.
Scott hurriedly scrambled into his truck. That truck that I once thought was nice now will forever be a reminder to always trust my gut about people. I had always had a suspicious feeling when it came to Scott but the one night I decide to give anyone the benefit of the doubt, that's when he shows his true colors. Scott slammed the door behind him and turned the engine over. He gave us both the finger as he spun tires on his way out my driveway.
I hadn't taken my eyes off Dom since Scott left. He was still standing in the same spot with his back facing me. His wide shoulder looked amazing underneath the black leather of his jacket. His dark hair was in a touseled mess. He was still starring at the driveway in the direction Scott had left in. I don't think he even realizes he's been standing there in silence for a minute.
When he turns around, his eyes find me immediately. They weren't burning red anymore, they were almost back to normal. He makes his way back to the porch in silence. His eyes never leaving me. He stops right in front of me, sstill watching me as he pulls my phone out his back pocket.
"Here." He says handing me the little chunk of metal and plastic. "I took the liberty of calling my phone from it so you'd have my number, in case he tried to do anything else."
"Oh, um, thank you." I tell him, still in shock of the events that just took place in my front yard. "Was there anything else you needed to speak to me about?"
"Actually," He said to my surprise. "Yeah, there is. Do you have a minute?"
"Unfortunately, Alpha," I tell him. "As much as I would like to say yes. right now, the only thing I want to do is take a nice hot shower."
*One with him would be nice.* Pearl purs in my ear.
*Not now Pearl.* I tell her, I'm in no mood for her s****l harassment. *Okay?*
*It was just a joke.* She said.
*Sure it was.* I tell her sarcastically.
"Okay." He says watching me. Crossing his arms across his chest, he leans back against the porch post. "I'll wait."
*He can't be serious?* I ask Pearl.
*I'm pretty sure he is.* he tells me.
"Well, if you;re going to wait," I tell him. "Would you at least like to wait inside?"
"Sure." He says stepping towards the door.
As I open the door I see Mason in the kitchen, The only way I even know he is there, is because I can see the fridge door open.
" Um, please," I say jestering towards the couch. "Have a seat. I shouldn't take more than 10 to 15 minutes."
"Alright." He says sitting down in the center of the couch.
I walk into the Kitchen to find Mason in the fridge, looking in a drawer at the bottom.
"What are you doing baby?" I ask him.
"Looking for snacks." He says with a cheesey little grin.
"Oh yeah?" I ask him. "How about dinner?"
"Pizza!" He shouts. "Pizza, Pizza,Pizza!"
"Oh my gosh, pizza again?" I ask him. "Are you sure?'
"Pizza!" He shouts jumping around at my feet.
"Okay, okay." I tell him as I laugh at his antics.
I make my way back to the livingroom, Mason right on my heels. He stops dead in his tracks as he crosses the threshold. He didn't realize we still had company.
