Chapter 38 - Servant of the Family Lux

When William saw a very thin man with his skin slightly yellowing like malnutrition coming towards him, he subconsciously furrowed his brows and said, "That's right, this is our first time entering Aldebaran City!"

William frowned not because he was bothered by the skinny man's skin, but rather that he was slightly suspicious of the thin man. It was because William and the other two had been causing trouble in front of the gate, so he thought that someone else had sent the skinny man to monitor the movements of William and the two beside him.

What's more, that skinny man with his skin yellowed like malnutrition had a mid-level 9th Spirit Warrior cultivation base.

The moment the skinny man with yellow skin saw William's displeased expression, he raised his hands and said hastily, “Gentlemen, please calm down! I'm not a person with bad intentions! I'm just a tour guide with the lowest fees in this city."

"Tour guide?" William was a little surprised when he heard those words, he never thought there was such a job in the world of the gods.

"Oh? So it can be said that you are a veteran tour guide?” William subconsciously narrowed his eyes to clarify whether the skinny man in front of him was lying or not.

"Of course! If there is anything you all want to know about this city of Aldebaran, I can gladly tell you. But all of that is not free, it can be said that the price of information will be adjusted according to the scarcity of the information you want to know.”

"Oh? So you are one of the 'ears' in Aldebaran City! At first, I thought of looking for a wine shop to get some information, but it looks like that's no longer necessary!” William nodded his head after seeing the response of the skinny man in front of him, at least William was very sure that the skinny man in front of him was not someone else's errand boy. Then William continued and said, "So what's your name?"

When the thin man heard William's words, the expression on his face showed that he was very happy. That meant William had sealed a deal to do business with him.

"Sena! My lord, you can call me Sena!”

When William saw her delighted expression, he subconsciously shook his head. This was the first time William had seen the expression on someone's face become so happy over such a trivial matter.

Curiously, William asked something that was troubling himself to the skinny man in front of him, “This might sound a little impolite to ask, but why did you become a tour guide with your cultivation base? The skinny man rubbed his palms together as if he was negotiating with William.

All of that was obtained by William from the corpses of the dead who were killed by William. Especially the Soul Stones, he obtained them from three pursuers from the Dorl Family.

After taking 10 Soul Stones, William handed them directly to the skinny man.

As the thin man received the ten Soul Stones directly in his palm, William could see the man's eyes flashing a slight gleam of greed. But after a while, the light of greed that was in his eyes instantly turned into horror as he stared at William's waist.

If one followed the skinny man's gaze, one would see that the skinny man was staring at the Lux Family's identity token hanging from William's waist.

Then a very shocking scene occurred, the skinny man in front of William suddenly trembled as if he was frightened. Then after a while, the skinny man in front of William started lowering his head to his knees.

“Sorry young master! I never expected that young master would be a major descendant of the Lux Family! Please forgive this lowly servant's rude actions, young master!”

Just by hearing his trembling voice of fear, William could feel how much emotion the skinny man had when he found out that William possessed an identity token that only a main descendant of the Lux Family could possess.

The strange sight immediately attracted a great deal of attention in the surroundings and made others start whispering to one another about the unexpected occurrence.
